Company announced a reduction in landline capital expenditures, says the FIOS build is just about done. They will now go for penetration rates in existing built areas.
I heard a Bloomberg discussion the other day that even though the US rig count is significantly down, the amount of barrels of oil produced in the US is still over 9 mil a day, seems the rig reduction only cut 300k a day. My point;, there is still a large amount of oil being shipped, much through pipelines and Jones tankers. Although KMI seems to be sucking wind this quarter, there still going to be a lot of product being pumped. The recent deal with mexico oil swaps could set the stage for oil exports. I think in the short term KMI will take a beating, but in the longer term, their asset base is second to none. And that's what investing is all about, buy low sell high.
maybe close to a bottom, could be a good time to accumulate for the LT.
terminal buy a smart move, Bloomberg analyst just published an article on the transformation of the US as an exporting LNG country. Says LNG, although competing with cheap oil is setting up to revolutionize the energy industry. Sounds good to me, KMI's pipelines will get a huge portion of the gas flow revenue, and having terminal rights is huge.
Sentiment: Strong Buy
stupidity, there is no law on what the service is transmitted on.
The Russians will push ISIS to Saudi, that will screw up production big time. That will help both Russia and Iran, who also hate Saudi Arabia. If you happen to be buying US oil stocks, pipelines etc, you'll get some bump.
Agreed VZ took on super cheap debt, no more div payments to VOD, they are paying down debt faster then anyone thought. Now if they can capitalize on IOT, AOL, Fios and the 5G rollout, the stock is back up to over 50 very soon.
and since revenue is flat, the negotiations with the unions will be flat. Smart strategy, "I see plateauing" does say much yet says a lot. Debt being paid down faster than expected, still raising divvy, new product lines coming on board (go90, IOT etc), keep the expectations low, and any rev increase next year will skyrocket the stock.
The reduction in debt, cap ex and force reductions should keep the div protected. The GO90 and AOL acquisition should help drive revenues.
Good idea, having the VZ store within the Best Buy store. Maybe VZ can reduce some rental properties, and gives consumers the ability to do 1 stop shopping. Even better if they offer FIOS there and have the GEEK Squad install the FIOS in homes. The GS can upsell new TV's sound system etc while installing Fios. VZ could also reduce head count by thousands.
Looks like VZ could have a great product role out, Go90. Streaming free wireless, I also see they are ramping up their data speeds. Could take the wind out of T-Mobile's sails.
