SPAM about AMD press release.
Does Adobe think this is important? No.
Adobe ugraded their CC product line. Press releasae ... no mention of AMD.
AMD found one feature on one application that they could hand optimize.
"early November, Bay Trail is simply not ready for Android."
Hmmm. November 2013 to mid-2014 is 6 months. Intel and Google have a couple engineers working on it.
"noted that there are Atom tablets running Android in the market, but they do not have the Bay Trail architecture"
Clovertrail+ is a 32-bit chip with an IN-ORDER execution units.
Bay Trail is 64-bit with OUT-OF-ORDER execution units .... Bay Trail will be only released on 64-bit Android. There will be substantial performance difference.
It will be interesting to see what actually happens rather than guessing.
The "big" Russian bank is named 'My Bank' and is one of the top 200 banks in Russia.
Do you know size of the bank ??? Assets? Any specical situations that might shed any light on whether this is important or not?
"The source of the story is a person working inside the ‘My Bank’ call center, although officials for the bank have refused to comment."
A couple things that may mess up your tea leaves. 10% of the Dow30 stocks were changed on Sep 20, 2013 so looking back is less reliable. Alcoa Incorporated, Bank of America Corporation, and Hewlett Packard Company were replaced by Goldman Sachs, Nike, and Visa.
If you look at the DJI 6 months chart, there are 3 days where the volume spiked like crazy.

Not spam? 8-)
I guess "massive ego" is not able to see that "massive success" can morph into "massive spam".
MASSIVE BURP .... I like that.
"Any chance Intel make a custom chips for x86 Android "
What features were you thinking about that "Android" would need ? I cannot think of any specific chip features that would specifically benefit Android.
"and dump legacy Microsoft x86 Backwards compatibility baggage"
What "benefit" would an Intel customer or ultimately a retail customer gain by "dumping x86 backward compatibliity baggage" ???
Intel has a number of options and I expect they will take several of them.
"completely untrue AMD is a turnaround co. that will move the price back to $ 10.75"
now this statement is completely untrue, but thanks for keeping the AMD pumping to a single thread.
If you are going to trade risky, small cap companies like AMD, why not buy a couple 100 shares of MONT. Intel took a passive 6.4% stake and when I posted it 4 hours ago, was trading just above $20. Up 10% since then. 8-)
MONT has something that AMD rarely tastes ..... profits.
Montage Technology is a global leading fabless provider of analog and mixed-signal semiconductor solutions currently addressing the home entertainment and cloud computing markets.
The foundation of company's technology platform is the ability to design high performance, low power semiconductors by using the proprietary building blocks which include radio frequency and analog front end solutions, digital signal processors and high speed interfaces.
In the home entertainment market, Montage's technology platform enables the company to design highly integrated end-to-end solutions with customized software for set-top boxes. Its solutions optimize signal processing performance under demanding operating conditions typically found in emerging market environments.
In the cloud computing market, Montage offers high performance, low power memory interface solutions that enable memory intensive server applications. The technology platform approach allows Montage to provide integrated solutions that meet the expanding needs of customers through continuous innovation, efficient design and rapid product development.
Doc Handel gets good words from hundreds of thousands of semiconductor professionals. Some of them even visit bloggerville.
A semiconductor professional named Paul McLellan has much respect for Dr. Jones.
"Handel has a pretty good track record of knowing too, since he talks to everyone, they are all clients of IBS."
Handel Jones Predicts Process Roadmap Slips

Dr. Handel H. Jones has over 35 years of experience in the electronics industry. He held senior management positions at ITT. At Rockwell International (an organization with approximately 14K employees), he was VP of Strategic Planning, Acquisitions, International Marketing, and Engineering. As VP of Engineering at Rockwell, Dr. Jones had over 1,500 engineers reporting to him. Dr. Jones was also the President and COO of a publicly traded semiconductor company. He steered the company through a successful public offering and a key acquisition.
It looks like Intel will be upgrading existing fabs to run both 22nm and 14nm ....and pushing the mix toward the smaller geometries. The Fab32 32nm process is probably excess and 14nm/22nm high yields makes the conversion of fab32 work.
I have not seen the specific fabs referenced but I suspect that some or all of the the Chandler Fabs 12 and 32 will be upgraded to handle 14nm. Fab 12 would be going from 300mm 65nm wafers. Fab32 would probably shutdown its 32nm lines and convert to equipment to 14nm
"The company will still be deploying 14-nanometer technology in Arizona, but will do it in existing fab space at the site rather than at the new facility to improve capital equipment efficiency and to leave the new space available for future technology, Mulloy said.
”By running both 14 and 22 nm processes at the same time we get better utilization of our equipment,” he added. Mulloy did not specify what the new technologies were."
"Investing on AMD$ 3.37 will double your money over Intc $ 24.85.
Intc won't double in price AMD will"
AMD "will double" ??? "
Your opinion, not fact. The same as you stated your opinion on Jan 15th when AMD was at $4.47. It may happen but not without a much higher risk.
Who knows, you might even lure a couple of buyers by trolling this site.
The INTC short interest data through mid-month is reported at 4pm ET today. That number will not cover the post earnings trading.
"Bottom has been set time to buy use some of you Bingo money"
"Las Vegas money" would be more appropriate. AMD might do OK, but this is not the board for pumping AMD.
So, you were wrong ....
Jan 15th when AMD was $4.47 and you and your valueplay72 twin said buy:
"Wow this looks good
Sentiment: Strong Buy"
Now when AMD is down 2% today at $3.39 and down more than 25% since you said $4.47 "Strong Buy", you are saying the knife has stopped falling?
If someone was interested in AMD, they would go to that board.
That explains why AMD has been trading so strong this week.
You should have sold AMD last week at $4.21 and now wait the 1 week to be down the 80 cents or 20%.
20% loss in 1 week. 8-)
Great call. 8-)
They are following the Friday US market. The current US futures appear to be little changed. Bloomberg US SP500 futures (March, I think) are at 1,785.60 with a 1,790 close on Friday. This number is +0.20% from the futures close on Thursday night.
"Jan 17, 2014 - In terms of technology, production of 28nm devices tripled over 2012 and the node now represents around 30% of TSMC's wafer revenue."
10% 20nm in 2014 seems like a stretch.
