Google's forward p/e is 30. Apple at a 30 p/e would be selling at $1,500.00 a share. You're only a little more than half way there.
Laughable. The man is a clown who believes in marginalizing the U.S. to the benefit of the rest of the world. He doesn't understand the first thing about business and the economy. Why would he? His only real world experience is as a "community organizer," LOL
The Apple store at the Short Hills, New Jersey store has been a madhouse all weekend so far.
That's easy. They are all socially dysfunctional kids that have been shunned by their peers and find message boards to be an easy outlet to snap back at society for being outcast. Sheepskinner for example is most likely a pimple-faced little punk living in his parents basement playing Worlds of Warcraft and trying to annoy people on Yahoo message boards. While he's claiming to short Apple, he cant even afford a pizza delivery from Dominos and relies on an Allowance from his parents just to pay bus fare. I would say we're looking at a Napoleon Dynamite type (minus the llama).
Also, if there was so much channel inventory out there why would people still be cueing for hours on end to get a new iPhone?
Good News for the iPhone at Verizon

With lots of Apple (NASDAQ: AAPL ) followers panicking about the success of Apple's new iPhones (for no good reason, in my opinion) investors are looking for any source of comfort. Apple won't report its quarterly earnings until Oct. 28, so we won't get the full story on iPhone sales until then.

Fortunately for worried Apple investors, Verizon (NYSE: VZ ) provided some good news in its quarterly earnings report on Thursday. Of the 7.6 million smartphones activated by Verizon in the third quarter, 51% were iPhones.
This implies that Verizon sold approximately 3.9 million iPhones in the quarter. That's a very strong number, and it suggests Apple will post a massive year-over-year increase in iPhone shipments for the three-month period that ended in September.
A big player
As the largest wireless carrier in Apple's largest market, Verizon is a key partner for Apple. (AT&T still has the most iPhone users, though, due to its position as the original U.S. iPhone carrier.) In the first half of this year, roughly 11% of all worldwide iPhone activations were on the Verizon network.
Verizon is becoming even more important to Apple over time. The iPhone has been gradually gaining share from Android and BlackBerry devices at Verizon, while Verizon has been winning market share away from AT&T. In last year's quarter ending in September, the iPhone accounted for 46% of all smartphone sales at Verizon, but this year the iPhone's share increased to 51%. This helped drive Verizon's iPhone activations up by roughly 25% year over year, from 3.1 million to 3.9 million.
Were these results before or after the benchmark cheating was reverse engineered for Samsung, LG and the other crooked South Korean OEM's? As we all know, Samsung, LG and other South Korean OEM's have all programmed their phones to deploy more processor power only to the tasks used in benchmark testing so that the phones speciously appear to be faster than they really are.
That's before China Mobile has sold one phone. When you add all of the free 5S's with contract sold in Japan to China the numbers are going to be MASSIVE!
Oh yes there is. Apple 13% market share and 71% OF ALL GLOBAL SMARTPHONE PROFITS!!! It's Check mate alright. And the douche-bags at Samsung and Google are in it.
Thank you for that great report from South Korea. This is the type of stuff I look for through the pile of excrement this board has become. I live in Manhattan near the SoHo Apple store. I can tell you that even today, there are lines everyday outside the store in the morning for the new daily allotment of 5s's. Apple still cannot satisfy demand even after ramping-up production by 75%. Most the people in line are Asian. I anticipate with the China Mobile announcement either tomorrow or in the next week, Apple will once again have to increase production. There is no way that they will not absolutely crush Q1. Throw an ipad and macbook refresh on top of that and Q1 will be killer. A strong return to revenue, earnings and margin growth and the market will reward Apple with a market multiple and new all time highs early in 2014.
Just the way the options writers like it.
It's true. All of the high margin 64 gig 5s's and the 128 and 64 gig iPad airs are all out of stock first. This will guarantee a margin beat, revenue beat and massive earnings beat.
Actually the 64 bit architecture runs much faster and uses less energy than the 32 bit architecture in all other smart phones in the world. It will be years before Samsung will be able to knock it off.
