If rumors of successful phase II results... Looks like I will have to open the books on this one to review the science and rumors. I bought this and a few others to stop from buying more SRPT.
If I was hedging on those needing to cover I might just go to future contracts. A ball crushing event made worse by denying them cheap cover. Easy bet. Not on SRPT but the 1/3 short creating a out for shorts under control long hedge position.
We are now seeing warnings on understudied Tylenol for liver damage and all NSAIDS being reported causing Heart Attack and Stroke for long term users. VIOXX just presented early.
What I would like to see is Phase I safety trials blend in with Phase II trials to Phase III or an indication. Without interruption we would see the shortest time to indication and treatment with a larger number of survivors. I think the Phase 1 was 12 weeks in the EU. Since 24 weeks-48 weeks would be needed for results to manifest we would just roll it all up.
We have never questioned the 6mwt because of video evidence from families. So in a sense we are seeing the data live. Subjective yes. From someone only looking at published data points..You could question anything. This is a case of life video data released before official company trial data can even be collected. Yes the families are indeed using it to their advantage.
Met with the FDA Thursday with the DMD experts? Why was this hidden in here? MOMS the word?
They must be tasting the $250M in the bank. PS Trading in Biotech can be dangerous to non Biotech investors that are told a bunch of gobbely goop Sciencey stuff and then the type that will brilliantly say..HUH "What Happened? " when their panties get dirty.. This is why we get good CEO's not talking to investors.
Some of these funds lend shares out to big firms to make money while they sit, options market and such. For the small guy no.
Dr, reasoning to this point has been SRPT needs RNA (Patents and now data set, EU access) . It now maybe the other way around that RNA may snuggle up to SRPT to survive.
What SRPT do not do was younger boy under 7. That is the space RNA would like to have. The next study will have those ages. From what I remember from the FDA in Nov was younger and Older boy data to be added.
