I like that the 10-k says that there are no litigations going on right now. This board was discussing this back when Solazyme broke up with Roquette.
"In the high-performance lubricants and metalworking fluids industries, Solazyme’s Renewable™ Tailored™ algal oils help to provide outstanding performance and a sustainable solution with better lubrication, surface tension and viscosity index, plus enhanced stability at elevated temperature, pressure and speed. In home and personal care, Solazyme’s Tailored™ algal oils offer better performance and a more sustainable alternative to existing oils." - I was not aware of these kinds oils (cutting oils, lubricants) being produced for customers. Another point is that they seem to have their own lines of oils AND oils that they develop with partners. Does anyone have more of a handle on this? This news explains the distribution agreement that they announced earlier ...
I think that it would be a positive. The company would develop another profitable income stream. It would be like Algenist and Everdeep. It would also be a higher margin business.
I like this ... "They are able to survive only under the conditions in which Solazyme cultivates." This definitely makes these GMO algae much less of a "threat".
Solazyme came out with their own functional food products. They have an opening for a Food Scientist that as "Diversified and broad food product development experience from initial prototype through consumer validation to commercialization."
This helped me. I'm not sure how reliable it is...
A Chief Operating Officer (or Chief Operations Officer; COO) or Director of Operations (or Operations Director) can be one of the highest-ranking executives in an organization and comprises part of the "C-Suite". The COO is responsible for the daily operation of the company, and routinely reports to the highest ranking executive, usually the Chief Executive Officer (CEO). The COO may also carry the title of President which makes that person the second in command at the firm, especially if the highest ranking executive is the Chairman and CEO.
Many modern companies operate without a COO. For example, in 2006 more than 60 percent of Fortune 500 companies did not have a COO, and in 2007 almost 58 percent of Fortune 500 companies did not have a COO.
My wife has been using Everdeep for about one month and I personally notice an improvement. I took a picture of her with others her age and she looked younger than some that are even younger than her. I observed that her skin is more clear and even toned. I have decided to keep receiving the Everdeep shipments. Will update after 4 months.
