Its never better, buy backs and tenders only benefit management, dividends benefit stock holders... Its always the case. Look how horrific all the years of IBM stock buy backs have been.
Pwe production is falling and cash is tight... Spend money buying back debt or finance a little drilling to keep the lights on. So they are using the little cash they have to up production... No production equals bankruptcy. Long Pwe
Dude??? You get two choices.
1 you get 18 dollars and shire shares buy holding until the sale completes. OR
2 you sell BXLT and get only whatever the current BXLT share price is when you sell. Thats it. Good luck.
I set my shares to sell at 47.00. I expect the deal to happen and hope to get taken out on the way there.
LC's play is simple... with his share count he brings in 6million per quarter. PER QUARTER. That's a great return for doing nothing.
I have been in and out of this stock for years and have never lost money, however there were a couple of times it didn't look so good. I once had to explain to my wife why I owned a stock in a financial company that couldn't figure out its own financials and file them on time... that convo didn't go so well.
Baxter is going to want quite a bit to allow the merger to happen. Based on the structure they used to set up BXLT taking it over is a little difficult, However Shire seems to really really want it. Additionally Baxter does not want to own RMTI until it fully launches and doesn't kill people in the market place. There is no reason to take that liability onto Baxter shoulders now... even if it costs a couple of more millions to buy later. Its worth it to pay more.
RMTI long, Baxter long, bxlt long.
Don't worry we will float around this level for a little bit. Be patient I bet we make it to the .75 cent range one more time before we start back up. At least wait and see if we have another the sky is falling day before the end of the year.
Fed up. I would sell but the amount I own accomplishes a specific goal. I take the div in cash and the stock doesn't fluctuate much. I am going to hold and hope it doesn't get hammered at the rate increase and until then take the money.
