It will not be until Intel gets to 14 nm chips and 18 months from now when that is announced.Yes--Apple wants all their software on X86 because it makes it makes an Apple system of products work together easily but NOW, Intel has to beg and wait.
Getting rid of Pauley dimmmmwit was likely a great step in getting the deal done with Apple. Apple remembers him and they do not much like the jerk who said no to them when Jobs asked Intel to make The Iphone CPU. But a new CEO can get the deal.
