Nothing has changed for debt laden AMD which survives on the cheap toy console market. All of AMD's watt sucking, bottle necking APUs are too lame to high end game, business desktops need a powerful efficient CPU with a good enough GPU, business don't care about a few more FPS while playing lame games. AMD top selling servers still have Intel inside. The Cryptocrap mining with watt sucking GPUs market is busted flooding ebay, Craigslist and amazon with cheap AMD GPUs.

AMD sold its mobile graphics IP to Qualcomm and now has nothing mobile worthy. AMD's watt sucking GPUs run hot and for the first time ever AMD's dual GPU cards need liquid cooling leaving the air cooling market to Nvidia.

Haswell Kepler, Broadwell, Broadwell Maxwell small form factor PCs will destroy AMD's APU toy console market while many well ARMed Armies ready custom 64 bit ARM cores to blow AMD generic core to bits.

  • Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) Is Today's Water-Logged And Getting Wetter Stock

Trade-Ideas LLC identified Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) as a "water-logged and getting wetter" (weak stocks crossing below support with today's range greater than 200%) candidate. In addition to specific proprietary factors, Trade-Ideas identified Advanced Micro Devices as such a stock due to the following factors:

AMD has an average dollar-volume (as measured by average daily share volume multiplied by share price) of $73.9 million.

AMD has traded 33.9 million shares today.

AMD traded in a range 247.3% of the normal price range with a price range of $0.28.

AMD traded below its daily resistance level (quality: 10 days, meaning that the stock is crossing a resistance level set by the last 10 calendar days.

Stocks matching the 'Water-Logged and Getting Wetter' criteria are worthwhile stocks to watch for a variety of factors including historical back testing and volatility. Trade-Ideas targets these opportunities because the stock is exhibiting an unusual behavior while displaying negative price action. In this case, the stock crossed an important inflection point; namely, "support" while at the same time the range of the stock's movement in price is twice its normal size. This large range foreshadows a possible continuation as the stock moves Lower.

We also find weaknesses including weak operating cash flow and generally higher debt management risk.

AMD's net profit margin of -1.43% significantly underperformed when compared to the industry average.
The debt-to-equity ratio is very high at 4.18 and currently higher than the industry average, implying increased risk associated with the management of debt levels within the company.

Net operating cash flow has decreased to 31.61% when compared to the same quarter last year and when comparing cash generation rate AMD's growth is significantly lower.

What's it like to be so extremely obsessed with Intel/Nvidia hatred that completely consumes your life? What's it like to be hammed and mocked by everyone who finds you despicable with ZERO respect? What's it like to live in desperation to make someone listen to you, when NO can hear you or wants to hear you? What is your story, dude? Try to tell the truth for ONCE in your pathetic life why you can't live day to day without posting 100s perma pumping FUD messages about AMD NON stop? You got a real serious sickness, it's amazing how someone can get this bad and so absolutely fcked up. It's Sunday, and you will be here ALL day, even if no one replies to you. And the worst part is, you think people actually give a sht what you think? I know you cannot reply with the truth, this would be impossible for you. Are you mad about the HUGE debt ATI caused AMD to overpay for its lame gaming watt sucking APU? Intel/Nvidia will go on regardless, too bad you have to live with this FACT! So, keep hating and keep acting like an perma pumping idiot.

AMD Announces Private Offering of $400 Million of Senior Notes

Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. (NYSE: AMD) today announced that it intends to commence a private offering, subject to market and other conditions, of $400 million aggregate principal amount of senior notes due 2024. AMD intends to use the net proceeds received in the offering (the "Net Proceeds") to repurchase its outstanding 8.125% Senior Notes due 2017 (the "8.125% Notes") through a tender offer which also launched today, June 2, 2014 (the "8.125% Tender Offer"). AMD intends to use the Net Proceeds to fund the purchase of all 8.125% Notes that are early tendered (the "Early Tender") in accordance with the terms of the 8.125% Tender Offer.

To the extent AMD still has 8.125% Notes outstanding following settlement of the Early Tender, prior to or following the expiration of the 8.125% Tender Offer, AMD intends to use the remaining Net Proceeds to redeem any and all remaining outstanding 8.125% Notes. To the extent the remaining Net Proceeds are not enough to redeem the then outstanding 8.125% Notes, AMD intends to use cash on hand, including the remaining net proceeds from its February 2014 offering of its 6.75% Senior Notes due 2019, if required, to fund the redemption of any such 8.125% Notes. To the extent AMD has remaining Net Proceeds after the completion of the 8.125% Notes Tender Offer and any redemption of 8.125% Notes, AMD will use such remaining Net Proceeds to redeem, repurchase or otherwise retire other outstanding indebtedness.

The new senior notes have not been registered under the Securities Act of 1933, as amended, or applicable state securities laws, and will be offered only to qualified institutional buyers in reliance on Rule 144A and in offshore transactions pursuant to Regulation S under the Securities Act of 1933, as amended. Nvidia did what AMD FAILED to do and that's cool 2 Titan GPUs on Air, AMD's watt sucking deep fryer GPUs have to a have water block and a huge water cooler radiator to keep it from going up in flames.

Nvidia will reap the rewards of not needing a huge water cooler radiator and will enjoy high margins for it while debt laden AMD wallows water misery.

Slapping on a water block and adding a huge radiator was the only way to get 2 of AMD's watt sucking deep fryer GPUs in one card.

    Bankruptcy Analysis of AMD

AMD has seen better days. A perpetual second string to Intel in the PC and server market, AMD has no real footing in the mobile market and saw sales fall hard in 2012. One nugget of good news for AMD is that its processors appear in the Playstation 4 from Sony and the XBox One from Microsoft.

For the past five years AMD's z-score has been in the distressed region. The financial crisis caused a lot of companies to have problems, and during 2008 the z-score went negative. It began to improve through 2010, but has since turned around and become negative again. According to this, AMD is in as bad a shape as it was during the financial crisis. Not a good sign for the company.

The biggest negative component for AMD is the retained earnings / total assets, or B. Since retained earnings are becoming more and more negative this means that AMD is increasingly funding its operations through the use of debt as time goes on. Indeed, AMD has about $2 billion in debt, a number which increased from 2011. Its cash balance sits at about $1 billion, but this has fallen considerably over the last few years. With a negative free cash flow of $471 million in 2012 and annual interest payments of $175 million, it won't be long before the company blows through all of its cash. AMD is at risk of becoming just a memory within a few years' time.

Apple's next generation iPhone 6 will likely feature a 4.7 inch display panel; will be powered by an Apple A8 processor and retain the 1GB of RAM common to older iPhone models.

Kuo, however, didn't have as much information about Apple's first phablet. What he did say was that the Apple phablet will have an A8 processor, NFC and Touch ID. The phablet's battery will be much larger and will be between 50 percent and 70 percent bigger than the current iPhone 5s battery.
