With a week of trading tax loss selling may not be over but you will be lucky to get EDAP for less than 3 bucks in February and today's price is a good price.
Went to Lowe's and bought the 299 starter kit now selling for 199 until the end of December. A GE Z-Wave 3 way light switch pair for 45 and a garage door opener for 99. The thermostat, light switch, and thermostat are definitely running Z-Wave and I'm not sure about the sensors and other parts. With big players like GE, Linear, and now LG how is SIGM not at least double today's price selling with a market cap less Than 100 million over cash? Looks like the trend is up and there are many more dollars to be made as home automation become the standard rather than a luxury.
Propose to split the company with Z-Wave being on its own and let alliance members purchase shares. Sigma does not need the capital but letting alliance members take a financial interest in the standard would go a long way.
China Telecom’s first smart TV, called “pleasure-me,” is the Skyworth model E690C, which includes the powerline version of G.hn. That means when users plug the smart TV into an AC outlet, they get both electrical power and access via a network to the Net. It’s truly “plug and play,” not “plug and plug and plug and play.” It also has Wi-Fi for connecting mobile devices. The CCTime Web site said the Skyworth E690C TV has superior hardware quality and a perfect design.
Any idea who is selling into the rally? I was not a holder last quarter and did not see if this kind of trading on a report is a common event. I would think we would see a new 52 week high on a bullish report with IoT being such a success.
I guess I may have heard something wrong on the conference call and got excited. I'll have to look over the financial and see what actually occurred. It was somewhere around that the cash increased due to much of the expense being cashless amortization.
A large part of those gains was a play on accounts receivable and payable but with the two about equal this is a great number. I don't see how Sigma does not get acquired if it does not double first very soon.
Everyone loving you and following you often means you missed the opportunity. The opposite might be said here as very few follow and there is tremendous opportunity for big gains ahead. I bet we gain some analysts and strong buys after busting back into profitability for the foreseeable future. Great call!
I think if SIGM breaks into a new high it hits a few radars and gains a buck or two quickly from there before stabilizing.
As of the last CC, the company expects a good quarter and already had vision into Q4 having strong growth as well in most categories. We should trade up into earnings and could see a nice bump if guidance is as positive as it seemed last CC. SIGM could really explode to the upside as it gains Wall Streets respect.
I hope not. I see a quick 50-100% on a takeover but think we will see 40 in the near future (couple years) without it. The next big wave wall street will jump on is the connected home and big waves bring many multiples of gains. SIGM looks more like a value play rather than a growth one.
I walked into home depot and they have some wink devices in the shop. You get a free wink hub when you purchase two other smart devices like locks, blinds, lightbulbs, etc. Everything is tied to Z Wave and the alliance for all my research shows. How does this translate into revenues? Does Sigma sell the chip or just freeware? I would think the connection would bring a huge valuation in the coming years. The chip a bit more but the association since sigma bought the Z Wave company should be valuable. The company seems to be on of the gorillas in the internet of things. Am I correct on this deduction?
The FDA path has reopened and EDAP turned a profit. EDAP was at $6.00 with an earlier FDA approval but without the earnings, revenue beat, and profitability.
I agree. France just begins coverage early 2015 so one can only expect focal one sales to accelerate. I think EDAPs bottom line gets more and more attractive without the FDA and that becomes icing on the cake.
24% revenue growth, profit margin expansion, and profitability
Just what the doctor ordered!
Could we se a 100% gain today after such a beating or is it gradually going to come.
