* Short and Jealous
"His problem in Brazil is that capacity is all ready spoken for from Unilever and others.
As I read the above nutritionals won't be included until the next 200000 step up."
I believe that the 100,000 MT facility is capable of producing 30,000+ in 2014 based on stated ramp-up timeline.
If Unilever takes 10,000, that leaves 20,000.
So Crush, the remaining 20,000 is already spoken for by non-food customers? How do you know this? I didn't see this info in any of the conference calls. Seems you're just making up stuff again.
I'm okay when you make stuff up and use words like "I believe", "I think".
But here, once again, you're simply making stuff up.
If Moema opens in in March, Crush stays off the board for 2 weeks.
If Moema opens after March, Andrew stays off the board for 2 weeks.
You don't have to wait "to get to 20K "and then expand to 40K..
You're being annoying now. Intentional I think.
One more time.
20K Capacity is already INSTALLED
Currently Solazyme is RAMPING up to get to the INSTALLED CAPACITY.
Now concurrently then can begin expanding capacity. Say to 40K. While they are ramping.
No. This has already been discussed here.
Go figure it out then come back if you're not sure.
It't not GMO.
If you're still confused later we can help you.
What's apparent crush?
Let it be know, crush just posted this comment: Its pretty apparent that Bunge isn't opening until April Q2
Let's revisit this soon to see how wrong he is. ROTFL
Won't want to be wmills with the price action we've had! ROTFL :)
wmills being wmills...be careful of that guy.
Are you serious?
Are you confusing ramp up with capacity scaling?
You keep quoting ramp up. We all know what ramp up is. 12-18 months.
And on top of that, Wolfson already stated it could be as fast as 12 months, but that's another matter.
The other topic is scaling. These 2 processes separate.
You can scale while you ramp up.
What part of that don't you get?
No d.debruin, that's not how it works.
Solazyme/ADM will continue to scale capacity as they ramp-up existing production.
Did you really thing the world stops just because they have 20K of capacity installed? If so, then you're 100% wrong.
They are already permitted for the next 20K and will SIMULTANEOUSLY continue scaling as they bring on existing production per their 3-phase plan: Development, Volume, Optimization
I don't criticize you for not knowing this because there's a lot of information out there. But before if you want to know how this works go listen to the presentations from last year. There's an investor conference where Tyler Painter lays this out very clearly.
So no, not smoking, but we may be smoking shorts soon thought. ROTFL!!!
By the way, the next 20K is plug & play for the facility they took over from Metabolix, it's the following 60K that will require a bit more heavy lifting.
So there you go. Put that in your pipe and smoke it.
Everyone's talking about the opening of Moema, but the next announcement is the news everyone's been sleeping on.
Now that Clinton is operational and delivering oil to customers with ASPs ranging from $2600 to $3700/MT, it's time we will hear of the expansion to Phase II 40K of the total 100K capacity.
Painter already announced that the Clinton facility is already designed so that adding another 20K would be relatively easy. In fact Solazyme/ADM were already processing the permits for this in 2013.
In my opinion we will hear news of this any day, now that we're already into month 2 of operations.
Moema will happen later in the month, or first week of April, and in my opinion the press release will include details regarding the next 200K expansion with Bunge (location and timetable).
A one, two, three punch is in store.
1. Clinton expansion to 40K with ADM
2 Moema 100K plant operational
3. Expansion with Bunge for additional 200K
If you thought a 32% rise in the stock price in January was huge when they announced Clinton, just wait!
Hi wmills551. How's your short position holding up this past month?
SZYM + 28%
Ouch. That's gotta hurt.
Just remember, on top of this move already made we have a coming announcement regarding Moema and another surprise which just may come sooner. Can you guess what that may be? haha
And regarding your question about the connection between Solazyme and the list I provided, you'll need to go back and read the original post by rview222.
Does anyone have an idea who they are supplying with the flour coming out of Clinton/Alva?
That list containing the Top 50 Food Processing Companies in the world (or most of it), is "my idea" of who Solazyme is shipping the samples to. As of November 2013, Solazyme announced that they were already working with 160 food companies providing samples to them. Yeah, the Kraft and General Mills of the world is my idea. This is the most likely scenario of companies in their pipeline.
Considering that you are short, I'd welcome your counter thoughts - if you have a thought that is.
Eat the peach.
My limit is in.
If we drop and I fill, I'll be happy.
If this thing takes off again for $15, I'll be happy.
Life is good. When you have momentum.
Retracing back to the $14 level for a rest.
Do I dare?
This could be an attractive double-down level before we move up again.
Do I dare eat a peach?
I have an idea.

But you get the idea.
I wrote this on Feb-18 (SZYM = $11.02)
Theory: There are very few shares available to buy (or buy to cover). When the next news hits, we'll see a squeeze.
Shares Sold Short (01/15/2014)
10.01 Million Shares
Okay fellas. Let's do some math.
PRIMECAP now owns almost 10% of Solazyme (6,620,000 Million shares)
PRIMECAP is a long term holder. There's no way they're dumping any of these shares in the next 12 months. Want their shares? "Can't touch this" is the response.
You know who also isnt' selling? The ETFs
SPDR S&P Metals & Mining ETF 972,313 shares
Russel 2000 792,309
Neither are the other funds selling, including:
Vanguard 3,902,602 share
T. Rowe Price 1.965,600
Just these 6 investors account for 16,876,529 shares of the float!
Okay, so float of 46.01 - 16.88 = 29.13 million shares represents the MAXIMUM NUMBER OF SHARES out there really floating!
Now if you're long and not a weak hand, include your shares and my shares and the share of the other self-proclaimed long and strong hands here....Sure we can't get to the actual number of real shares floating around to buy but I assure you, it's very low. It's much much less than 29 million!!
Compare that to the 10.1 million share that are short and you'll see that short interest is AT LEAST 35% of shares actually available to purchase and cover their short position.
There are few shares available for shorts to cover. Very few. This is what's going to cause the squeeze everyone's talking about.
Want my shares? Pay me $15
Want my shares? Pay me $20
Want my shares? Pay me $30
This is how the game works. Watch.
Remember I coined a new term in February: "Teenhopper"
It's when a stock jumps from $12 to $20. Leapfrog those teens!
Could this be it? A push right to $20 in the next couple of weeks?
