I say Intel should have a P/E of 17 based on the excellence of its current products, its future products, and its inroads into mobile and Asia. Maybe 18 or 19. As for earnings, you and I don't know what they'll be this quarter or any quarter. Intel has said that revenues will be flat, that's all. Fact is, if Facebook, which currently has a sky high P/E, disappeared tomorrow, it would be a big yawner. If Intel disappeared tomorrow, the world would be in trouble. Intel is a much more valuable company than Facebook. Without Intel, there would be no Facebook or many other companies.
Why don't you tell me exactly what P/E Intel 'deserves' and why? Fact is, there is no 'deserve' in the market.
In this respect, you are correct. As far as I can see, BK is a terrific CEO. And I believe Intel will do better than expected in the second half of the year and beyond.
Please don't knock WW. Being a paid Intel shill is his only source of income. I feel sorry for the dude.
Takes one to know one. You're a paid Intel shill, aren't you. Why else would you do what you do? I bet you won't respond to this post, knowing your emotional state..
You're very wrong. If Intel's earnings were going to be lower than expected they would have put out a press release like they did last time. They're not stupid, like you. No release, no earnings drop.
BS. I'm a doctor and have Medicare. No problem. If the government raises payouts just a little, more docs will accept Medicare. As for those thousands of Canadians, they're all rich and pay out of pocket. They can't wait, not even a bit, and moreover, some of them get treatments that are ineffective, like stem cell transplants for elderly folks. But they want what they want, when they want it. There's no denying that for-profit insurance doesn't work, except for executives and shareholders. The business folks have turned medicine into a business. Well, it isn't a business in the same sense as car manufacture or the like. Those business folk don't even want docs called docs. We're health care providers, as if health care can be provided. Docs take care of sick folks and try to make them better, they don't provide health care. Folks provide their own health care by eating right, exercise, not smoking, etc.. When you get sick, and everyone eventually does, even those young healthy folks that don't want to pay into the system, do you want a health care provider or a real doctor.
The focus needs to be on ridding ourselves of for-profit medical insurance. For-profit means profit which means higher premiums and lower payouts which means increased salaries and stock options for executives. For-profit insurance companies takes 30% of the health care dollar without providing an ounce of health care. Medicare, that terrible government run program, takes 3% of the health care dollar and provides excellent health care. Gee, I wonder what the solution to our health care problem could be. I know, Medicare for all! Single payer. No for-profit insurance. Oh, but what about those Canadians? Hell, what about them? They do just fine, as does every other so-called advanced country that has single payer. Now, that'll go over big with Republiturds like Mr. Boobhead.
Mr. Trump's gone bankrupt four times. He's a terrible businessman but a great huckster. What America needs is his hair. He's just another dumb Republiturd. And somebody should fact check his net worth. It ain't 9 bill. But if he was elected, heaven help us, he could line the Middle East with golf courses and casinos that lose money.
Talk about love, you have an obsessive love for Intel. Blinds you. I doubt any of this news will move the stock price. The only thing that will move the stock price is growth and expectation of growth. There is no evidence of growth, Intel itself has stated that not much is happening this year. Maybe they're being coy, maybe not. But I don't expect much from them this quarter. We'll see if Windows 10 and Skylake boosts PC sales. That would increase the stock price.
Wally never responds to posts like yours. He's got nothing to say and completely ignores all negative posts related to him. In this sense, he's a coward.
And why exactly would a Greek default affect Intel any more or less than any other company not directly involved with Greece? True, the entire market would decline, but it would be temporary and a great buying opportunity. Here's hoping.
Who cares as long as it sells. Why does Samsung's phone cost twice as much is a better question.
There is clearly room for both companies in this arena. And the arena is expanding. So both will do well. What's the problem? And as for WW, he's clearly dealing with an ARM obsession, as he's probably #$%$ that he doesn't own ARM shares and jealous of those that do. If he'd just take his meds he'd feel better.
idiot. You love ARM, can't stop talking about it. Obsessed. Take your meds.
