Draghi to the rescue: ECB President Mario Draghi announced an expanded asset-purchase program, including private and public securities, of up to 60 billion euros ($69 billion) a month. The buying will continue through September 2016.
There's a reason ANR was up higher than most coal stocks today and that's because Europe is the company's largest export/customer: With 6.8 mm tons of Met Coal and 2.6 mm tons of Thermal Coal annually
The only problem I see with the lower oil and nat gas prices is the holding of 6.4 million shares of RICE. It won't affect this quarter as much as next, but the cash equivalents have come down about 50 mil. with that holding.
Because I have another 50K share buy order in at a lower level but already filled the 50k shares I'm holding right now. Therefore, I'm fine if it continues upward into earnings or we go down and my remaining orders are filled. There's absolutely no way I'm buying into the BK storyline.
Where is the downgrade? It's typical for them to downgrade in hopes of hitting the $1 point, but when it didn't happen, they had to load back up.
Why are you concerned with our investments when the stock is going up against your theory? Most here have waited for great entry points and will make plenty of money. If we didn't listen to you then, what makes you think we will on the way up? I think you're one of those that waited too long for the stock to hit $1 even before purchasing and lost out on a great buying opportunity. Was it really worth the penny or two?
The only reason I even see you posts are because you at least make some valid points instead of typical basher b.s., the other bashers are on ignore. Do you really think the stock is going to go down into earnings? You should have at least starting buying when the stock hit $1.05. If you did, you'd be happy instead of your current state.
Closing at the low yesterday was a signal that we'd go up today. I'm glad to have loaded up under $1.10, $1.05 and $1.03. Should have added at $1.02 but was waiting to see if we actually hit a $1. Time for us to go up into earnings now and then play the stress test game.
BTU announced a change at CEO. People were complaining here about Vinning leaving, they are losing the CEO of the Year, although he'll stay on the board.
Question, who downgraded the stock today, I can't find a downgrade but see it referenced.
As I stated in an earlier post, I'm set either way with a boat load of this stock that I purchased under $1.10. I'm set if the Hedge Funds have decided to stop selling or if they continue because I have buy orders still in at lower levels.
My take is that yesterday people sold knowing about the impending downgrade. When the downgrade finally fell a pond deaf ears, those sellers jumped back into the stock. They likely downgraded trying to get the stock to $1 or below, when the downgrade didn't get price for them, they started buying.
Of course, the other could also be true in that the shorts allowed the stock to rise so they could re-load. I'm fine with either direction.
See what I meant about not knowing when the Hedge Funds would stop selling and turn around. Up almost 8% in a matter of minutes. I have plenty of shares for upward movement, but I'm also ready to pounce should the stock's price head lower.
Very, very true and that's why I love these low prices and continue to buy. I have no idea when the Hedge Funds stop or people start ignoring their silly bs, but I'm set up nicely for when that occurs!
Ask IR any question at all and you will receive the following message: Thanks for reaching out to us. I appreciate your feedback. We are currently in a quiet period so we will not be commenting on issues until after our earnings. Please feel free to reach out to me after the earnings call, which is likely the second week of February.
No you're not but I for one have put a bunch of the same ole boring shorts and bashers on ignore, so very few posts show up any longer. They love this period of quite prior to earnings being announced. I've been taking this opportunity to add overall position in the company and will continue to add. It's the reasons I don't bother to post because I actually want the price as low as possible when adding to my position. Not that I believe anyone on this board truly influences buying or selling of the stock. Good Luck!
Hedge Funds that are betting huge that each and every coal company goes BK. It the end this will be known as a wonderful buying opportunity. For the short term, play the game and appreciate the cheap pricing.
