Marc, he's hoping some sucker sees his presentation and thinks he's a smart man for being CEO of a company on a public stock exchange. I would so be suing right now if I lost money on HDY, but I haven't! I'm not touching it at all since Ray can't keep the costs under control and dilution is imminent.
He's running the company into the ground by paying exorbitant legal fees (which one wonders if they have kickbacks). So why else would he be giving MEANINGLESS presentations on the oil industry that are not HDY specific? He's trying to establish credibility for himself so he can land a new job after HDY folds.
That's what I was getting at. Ray has to be paying off a buddy of his at a law firm who is sending a kickback to Ray.
And seriously, what the he## does Ray do on a day to day basis? Make up worthless presentations?
marc, I've always thought Ray sucked, but your constant bashing of the company and him goes overboard.
Less fortunate such as the mentally handicapped or disabled = Yes. Helping people that abuse the system by not getting jobs, fake disabilities, cry about drug tests for welfare = No.
...the company and the board members for lack of fiduciary duty. The board member resigning and saying the costs are a problem is a huge bullseye for a lawsuit.
How does it take $1m/month in legal fees to submit to the SEC/DOJ:
1) every contract with Guinea which was already filed with the SEC
2) every email correspondence HDY has sent out
3) travel logs
4) phone logs
I could have handled this internally, paid a lawyer in Houston a small retainer + $200-500/hour in fees WHEN ABSOLUTELY REQUIRED, and paid less than $1m for the year. I know some of the AGR and Tullow garbage are in the legal costs, but Ray has stated the SEC/DOJ legal costs are very high which is absolute BULL.
Numskull, there is a 2+ week lag. A lot can change in that time.
Those shorts are so sneaky. Instead of the open, they waiting a little later for the onslaught.
I've always said the legal costs are ridiculous. Ray must be paying his buddy at a law firm exorbitant fees because SEC/DOJ issues don't require $1m/fees a month. Jason Davis is also worthless.
Ray's only concern is getting his not deserved bonus. Settling the AGR lawsuit is not a merit bonus event.
Marc, if you'd like to have a civil discussion, I will respond. Ray will likely not field questions. Ray's presentations are a joke and are only to done to attempt to justify his legitimacy as a CEO of a company. The annual meetings are also a joke as he doesn't field any "hard questions." I remember the last meeting, where he pre-selected worthless questions like "how are you going to improve shareholder value?" He avoided everything related to Tullow/SEC/DOJ.
Spoken again like a true idiot that doesn't know what he's talking about. The investigations are concurrent.
"you a worthless individual and an amateur to boot." LFMAO! Says the Loser who spends all day, every day posting about his former employer. You won't see me on here this weekend. I HAVE A LIFE.
