Short position was at 1 million end of May. If anyone is worried I would think its that position, but as BIND is up significantly over the past 30 days I'd bet some of that was covered. I'm pretty long here, longer than most, and if AMGN didnt come through I wouldnt have a worry in the world. This is a longer term play but I would not be surprised to see BIND with a 500MM market cap eoy. Less likely would be a $100MM market cap. Lets get some data.

Thank you for your seemingly knowledgeable insight. It all helps with the decision to hang on to BIND for the long haul. This is about one the only stocks I'm aware of that I can buy and look back on in a few years and see giant returns. Their science seems quite sound.

I like it, market should too. It will get noticed soon. Added 1000 a few mins I got hosed in premarket, 11.50. Though it does make my portfolio look nice for the day and we've got an hour until market open. Stay long BIND.

Sina stake in WB is larger than their entire market cap. 1.8 billion is cash is free! Buying more calls here.

    Sentiment: Buy

  • Somethings gotta give here and I don't see it being on the downside. But if it is there will be a fabulous opportunity to clean up.

I see them starting their buyback maybe at a rate of $10MM a day for a few days and see where that lands them. Also I can't see why Alibaba wouldn't buy them, its that simple. That thought might not come to fruition tomorrow, maybe it will. But I'll put a few chips on the table and take that bet. Still, looking at their cash position and stake in WB, this gets back on track soon.

    Sentiment: Buy

  • As happened years back with one of my holdings, AFCI had a stake in Cerent and Cisco bough them. So AFCI ended up with about 11 million shares of Cisco and put a costless collar on the stock to protect its value. If SINA put a collar on WB they are locking in almost 3.4 billion in current value. Thats cash in the bank they cant lose even if WB goes to zero. I hope some trade desk has this set up for them or is in the process. SINA with this in place would be hands down the best for sure investment in the markets today, no matter their additional billon in cash or the portal value. Stock is easily worth mid $50's today.

I think we'll get word of the collar soon. Or I'd hope we do.

    Sentiment: Strong Buy
