Hey Jim, didn't they make the conversion goal last quarter (20 days out of 30) ? I would have thought they made it and that the impact to earnings will occur in this quarter?
Maybe you could charge it with Heating Oil. My Damn Oil bill sucks! I guess energy isn't free after-all.
Gas, Grass or #$%$.... nobody rides for free!
Hey Bag Holders! Anyone want to admit paying over $250 a share for this? Please get on record now. Hahahaha
Sentiment: Strong Sell
come on Jim, dont give up now. this is going to take time. Once the quarter is over, the selling pressure will be back on (maybe a car catches fire again).
They are crooks. Dont let them get away with your money.
This will crash one day and you will want to be short TSLA.
Increasing accounts payable doesn't impact earnings.
Accounts payable is not an income statement item, its a balance sheet (cash flow) item.
They control this share price. It is totally manipulated. They will raise it to maximum pain on Friday evening, for they know that will have the maximum psychological effect on the suffering shorts. I have witnessed this occur repeatedly on the short squeeze up. Watch out for Friday's last hour of trading.
What do you make of the question about raising more capital? Wouldn't dilution hurt share value at this point?
Jim, they have already made their 20 days above the $161.88 strike. The bonds will be convertible during the next quarter, if I recall the terms correctly. If I am mistaken, please let me know and I will review the prospectus again b(it has been awhile).
At this point, our interests are again alligned with Elon's, since his earning will be impacted if this trades above the hedge he bought (at $182, I think it was). It cost him $50 million for that! And they were very clear that any bond conversions above the $182 would impact earnings.
I think this cannot trade above $182 after March 1st..... Until then, they will squeeze the shorts, for that yields a known result. The shorts are in conniptions (the throws of death ) and Goldman knows they can earn a profit from that...
I am like you, selling longer dated calls - at higher strike prices; also, I am shorting now...
counttrarian, That is how I recall it. They have already reached the threshold for conversion rights. I don't recall that they have to do it again (or every year).
