Personally I cant wait for DWA to have its own message board.

The Pixar investors are brutal. Someone suggest that the stock splits and one of them wants to split her head open.

Take a trip to IRAQ if you are into splitting heads

    What an ass you are

    casinos all around

Very true, people are gambling on Dreamworks.
They see a very affordable stock (less than $40)
And a hyped IPO market and dollar signs start flashing

An investment in Pixar is like putting money in a bank that has an upwardly adjustable interest rate. You arent likely to lose your money and it probably going to grow over time.

An investment in Dreamworks is like placing a field bet. You may double your money in a short, quick roll of the dice.

Fortunately for the Dreamworks investors, next weeks release of Shrek 2 to video and DVD has the dice loaded in their favor. The house may eventually take it all back but until then it will be one hell of a ride.

You now have a group of two and the market rates them on par with each other

It is very likely that over the long term, a move in one will be matched by a move in the other

I wouldnt be surprised to find that Dreamworks strength is whats holding Pixars price up today.

If you expect Dreamworks to fall back into the 20s then perhaps you should buy puts for your beloved Pixar because it will probably track Dreamworks success and failure over the long run.

The Shrek 2 DVD is going to send a ton of money towards Dreamworks
The TI release is going to send 40% of profits towards Pixar

Both stocks are going to have a good quarter
And both stocks could trade up as a group

    GO DWA !!!

IPOs are up 26% while NASDAQ is down 3%

Hmmm, lets see Dreamworks is about to release a DVD and will take the majority of the profits.

Pixar is about to release a new film and will be lucky to get 40% of the profits.

Dreamworks owns the characters that they create for each new film

Disney controls the characters that Pixar created for each of their next two films

Dreamworks is in charge of their own destiny

Pixar is bound by the chains of Disney for their next two films

Dreamworks can release up to two films per year

Pixar cant promise investors even one film per year
They say, we might be able to do it

Pixars first film after Disney wont release until 12 months after Cars is delivered

Dreamworks will be releasing Shrek 3 about the same time

Pixar costs over $80 per share, way too much for the average family

Dreamworks costs less than $40 per share
Priced perfectly for friends and family

Dam, nearly all of Pixars shares are owned by insiders and institutions

In all likelihood Dreamworks will reach $60 per share long before Pixar reaches $90

Gotta love Dreamworks, it is going to make their investors rich

Stocks often go up and down as a group

Unfortunately, this is often true (see SNDK and LEXR). When Pixar has a hit, Dreamworks is going to go up (and up). When Dreamworks has a dud, Pixar is going to go down (and down). At $80+ per share Pixar is going to drop a lot faster and a lot farther than Dreamworks.

Now that there are two you can ignore fundamentals.
    Friends and family love Dreamworks.
    Institutions love Pixar.

    Both are good investments.because
Ultimately, both companies will earn money for their shareholders.

Once Dreamworks breaks $43 the market will show that it values Dreamworks more than Pixar

Its not a competition, its just the truth. Dreamworks is a better investment.

Face it, people love Shrek and Shrek 2 releases in a week

    Pixar costs way too much

    GO DWA !!!

Dammm, it costs a lot to buy one share of Pixar !!!

DreamWorks Animation has 105.6 million shares outstanding after the IPO

At 38.50 per share DWA has a market cap of 4.06B

Pixar Animation has approximately 56.6 million shares outstanding

At 80.22 per share PIXR has a market cap of 4.54B

It appears that investors see a lot of potential in DWA

Lets see, should I pay 80 for one share of an animation studio
Or should I pay 80 for 2+ shares of an animation studio

Apple to Apples Im gonna buy 2 for 1 and then sell when it gets up to $80

Friendly competition is a good thing but I dont know bout the back alley tactics that Dreamworks uses to piss on Pixars parade. Releasing their video on the same day that "The Incredibles" debuts in theaters is about the sleaziest thing they could do. They are definitely not the type of company that Id like to invest in.

One good thing will come out of their i-pee-o. When you are sick and tired of Dreamworks_Dave telling you how crappy Pixars newest films is, you will have a new message board where you can go and post your replies and share mass quantities of quality details about both companies. Perhaps then Dave will finally see the error of his ways.

If so, then you are right... They must be making a bundle off The Apprentice

Redefeat_thebulge_04 announced that he shorted above $80. Then he switched from one of the most active posters to one of the least active.

DIY_1 started sounding like a short. Then he switched from one of the least active posters to one of the most active.

Hmmm, are these two different sides of the same person?

By the way, good call on the timing of your short. Todays downgrade by Leman Brothers is probably the first of many. We have about a month before all of the analysts start analyzing historical trends and recommend that their clients dump before the release. Sad but true, profits are profits and these folks are gonna want their clients to take the profits whilst they can.

Last few days look better than the prior few weeks...

    http://finance.yahoo.com/q/bc?s=MOBE&t=5d

Of course, it isn't a trend...
Perhaps you should look at the last four months of last year

    You know the months
When MOBE went from $6 to over $12

    Could that happen this year?
$ MOBE products are selling in 2x stores
$ MOBE has several new large customers
$ MOBE is going to have positive earnings (*)

Yep, looks like last year's trend could happen again !!!

Don't get caught with your shorts down
Or you might get spanked by this one !!!

    Latest Insider Transactions...YE$$$$$$$

    by at_last_at_last Aug 17, 2004 4:02 PM
    at_last_at_last at_last_at_last Aug 17, 2004 8:47 PM Flag

Looking thought the insider transactions for this year...
One event was clearly more bullish than the others

"On June 8, 2004, MOBE closed at $8.95 per share"
"That same day the CEO exercised 124,411 options at $1.02 each"

The alternative minimum tax on that transaction was based on the difference between what he paid and what the stock price was at close. In other words he was taxed on: $986,579.23 ($7.93 x 124,411)

If the CEO didnt think that he was going to sell his shares for a lot more than $8.95 then he would have flipped them and you would have seen a sale of 124,411 shares by the CEO.

That fact that zero insider sales have shown up in this years insider logs is extremely bullish!

Perhaps the CEO decided to buy and hold for long term capital gains or perhaps he will flip those shares when it soars at the end of this year.

Regardless, the CEOs moves were very bullish. The fact that the company has repeatedly published their Q4 diluted earnings target of $0.08 to $0.12 is very bullish and the fact that they have teamed up with a significant number of retailers is very bullish.

    See you at $12

This year some insiders have been executing options and others have been acquiring shares !!!

Thus far, not a single insider sale has show up !!!!

FYI, the COO exercised options in August
A very bullish statement for the stock !!!

The Insider transactions for 2004 are a very interesting read!
    http://finance.yahoo.com/q/it?s=MOBE

    They are "BUYING" !!!

Directors, COO, Controller, and CEO all exercising options (buying shares) in 2004 $$$$$

Not a single insider sale in 2004 !!!
    Yet many insider purchases

See you above $12 for Christmas

It is a shame that so many of the long-term investors bought into Mobility when they were losing money. Fortunately, anyone buying now is able to take advantage of low prices for a company that is on the verge of profitability and preparing for the long right upward.
