PIXR EARNINGS OUT 1st TWO WEEKS IN MAY

I've seen it go both ways.

    At the end of
February, I sent an email to Bryn to ask about box-office
details and got an auto reply because she was on
    vacation.

In the auto-reply she attempted to answer
several typical investor questions and stated that
earnings wound not be released until May.

    My point
being the May date for earnings was picked quite
awhile ago. I would not try to read too much into it,
but if you must... Hmmm, you may assume that they are
being nice and giving the shorts more time to cover.
    (LOL)

    Perhaps you should be.

    The facts are
    starting to add up !!!

If I was short on this stock
I would start to worry a lot about
    some of the
"facts" that I've seen posted here.

    It appears
that some people are trying to post facts in order to

help others make an informed decision about this
    stock.

zzzxxx, What have you done for this stock

    Good luck, you need it.

It appears that Pixar tried to issue a press
    release in which that
stated that Toy Story 2 is now
    the number two animated motion
    picture of all
time. Of course, they mixed this news in with
    their
Academy Award nomination and no one was
    listening.

    * eToys shows a ship date of March 23rd

Amazon says "This item will be released on April
    3, 2000."

eToys says " Ships on: 3/23/00"

I'd place my bet on Amazon over eToys.

    Even
though prior press releases said March 2000, the nature
    of
computer software dictates that it will
    always be late.

The only reason to settle for less is if you
    are
one of four million shorts praying for a
    drop.

BTW. Has anyone been able to verify the
    following?

"Brad Bird has signed a three year contract with
    Pixar"

    http://www.aint-it-cool-news.com/display.cgi?id=5252

Brad Bird, director of The Iron Giant... Could be
    rocket fuel for PIXR !!!

    It seems like the folks
are Pixar a keeping the cards a little too
    close.

With good news like this and revenue from Toy Story 2
    already here

This stock could easily soar past $60

  • at_last_at_last by at_last_at_last Mar 10, 2000 11:55 AM Flag

Correct me, if I am wrong, but I believe that it
is already March 11th in Japan.

    Next week TS2
becomes the number three animated movie of all
    time
Soon it will be hitting the half-billion
    mark

Guess what boys, earnings are already
    flowing

    RE: Shorts having made money

    by tortoise28 Mar 9, 2000 6:46 PM
    at_last_at_last at_last_at_last Mar 9, 2000 7:51 PM Flag

The shorts dont really make money until they
    cover.
Most of the 4 million shares shorted on Pixar were

shorted at prices between $40 and $50 per
    share.

How could one call these shorts, smart investors.
    Because they did
most of their business at a time
when revenue was low and expected
    revenue was
still a six months to a year away.

    Recently,
many of the shorts have started to buy back in the $35
    - $37 range.
This is a smart move because they
are locking in their profits just prior
    to a time
when revenue is ramping up. (The first few quarters of
    real earnings
from a movie releases tend to be
    fairly loaded.)

The good news that the shorts are
now covering. The writing is on the wall.
    Prices
are going higher. The bad news is that the shorts are
    making profits
by covering at these levels. (If a
few arent burned then they will be back.)

    It
is too bad that Pixars PR doesnt do more to hype
    this stock. It would
be great if a few shorts got
burned so they would think twice about shorting
    Pixar
again. (Pixars management team is a little too
    friendly, huh?)
