after looking at the 2013 annual report...I see 6.7B in pension fund assets and 600M in cash. the issue isn't that the pension fund doesn't have assets (54% equities)...it's interest rates are too low........
bought Friday and am down 5% in one day. if I try to re-coup the loss by putting the remaining funds in a CD I'll have to wait 5 years to cover a one day loss....interest rates and risk are out of whack
