The hard part with any growth stock is when the hot earnings growth starts to slow. Look at KORS...market darling one day, trash heap the next. I think Ulta has better prospects as face paint and smelly stuff is a staple for most women, but the sales will slow someday. I think the run could last a couple more years and am enjoying the ride.
I'm sorry to hear that - I'm scanning my portfolio filled with MF Stock Adviser stocks and almost all of them are winners. Considering adding a very small allocation of SWIR on this massive dip to join the party.
The Motley Fool doesn't "pump-and-dump." They write a newsletter with stock recommendations and the subscriber makes up their own mind after doing their research. You don't mention other Fool picks (PCLN, AAPL, NFLX, etc) that are enormous winners, so we can just assume that you are bu++hurt over betting the house on a pick that didn't work out. Do better research next time.
I bought about a year ago at $86. Close to a double and all I have to do is go fishing in the morning and count the money flowing into my account at the end of the day. Good luck with your trading.
You can quote Cramer, I'll quote Peter Lynch: "Don't pull out the flowers and water the weeds."
Have you ever heard of Este Lauder? L'Oreal? They sell face paint and smelly stuff to girls who will pay any price to be pretty. Just buy.
His deputies had holdings in NOV that were reduced when the stock price was in the $70's. Those guys manage a portfolio and Buffet gives them freedom to do what they want. I'm talking about Buffet doing a deal for the whole company at these prices. He probably won't, but he likes to buy cheap.
