With that news the stock price is down over 3%
Look for a special dividend like the one they had in January. They have some uncertainty of future vehicle sales so they don`t want to raise it quarterly and risk having to cut it. If they were to raise it quarterly it would probably be two and half cents. They have about 4 billion shares outstanding so just one cent cost them $40 million dollars a quarter. So at the 15 cent dividend they have now. It cost them 600 million dollars a quarter.
Sales at Ford (NYSE:F) and GM (NYSE:GM) are booming, but you wouldn't know it from their share prices, Barron's says in a bullish cover piece this weekend.Key concerns include a drop from Q1's torrid sales pace (both slid when March sales came in at a mere 16.56M (annualized)); weaker China growth; rising buyer incentives; and subprime loans. But investors fail to appreciate the degree to which the two have achieved efficiencies since the last cycle. "That means it can sustain profitability - and show good profitability - late in the sales cycle," Annie Rosen, manager of the Fidelity Select Automotive Portfolio, says.Ford trades for 6.6x 2016 earnings and 3.9x projected cash flow; GM fetches 5.6x and 3.4x.Barron's thinks shares have 25% upside in the coming year, not including dividends of 4.9% for GM and 4.6% for Ford.

So were the dividend shares purchased at $13.08 at today`s closing or at the opening price of $12.51?
As you know you`d get more shares at $12.51.
The 40 cents was the regular 15 cent quarterly dividend with a one time 25 cent dividend added for the profits from 2015.Ford felt that future profits were uncertain to give the quarterly dividend a increase so they went with the one time 25 cents. The dividends from here on out will be 15 cents a quarter and hopefully increase down the road sometime.
Sorry Richard Noggin. I`m already retired and living the dream. I have more more money than you`ll ever dream of. As for you. I say you`re a liar and it won`t be long before Julio or Hodgy takes your job at 1/2 the pay. Good luck in that unemployment line. ;-)
The new world order in motion is what you`re seeing. Blame these so called free trade agreements for that giant vacuum of jobs leaving the country. In fact you union bashers jobs might be very well be on the chopping block soon.Make sure you come back and tell us how bad you were mistreated when that day comes. It might be alot sooner than you think.
All the new world order criminals should be thrown in prison and all the money they`ve stolen with their created wars and wall street scams should be taken away and given to all the people they`ve screwed.
