I/m short the 30-28 puts against GM and long small positions in a few accounts. Also short the Jan, 80, XOM puts which I plan to hold and use to sell call opt.
I plan to buy more GM after Jan options expire.
Sold 60% of her shares for a 3% plus gain and bought CF at $37.26/share with some of the proceeds. he also sold call options against it at--CF INDUSTRIES HLDG 2/19/2016 $40.00 Call. Paid 1.25/share.
CF is a 1.5% position.
TCU quarterback Trevone Boykin was arrested and charged with a felony in San Antonio early Thursday morning after fighting at a bar and then allegedly striking a bicycle patrol officer.
Boykin was formally charged with assaulting a public servant, a third-degree felony, posted a $5,000 bond and was released from custody late Thursday morning.
TCU is playing Oregon in the Alamo Bowl on Saturday. TCU coach Gary Patterson issued a statement saying: "Trevone Boykin and [junior wide receiver] Preston Miller have been suspended for Saturday's game due to a violation of team rules. We are disappointed in their actions and apologize to the TCU Horned Frogs Nation, Valero Alamo Bowl and city of San Antonio."
Thank you Sean for your input-I sold AA in Grandma's account and I have orders to liquidate it in my other accounts. She was lucky and made 10% on her investment in just 6 weeks.
Bought PCP in new IRA I'll call IRA #6, paid $231.27/share.
Currently it makes up 7% of the assets but more stocks are still being transferred into this account. A friend recently retired and asked me for help investing his retirement $$$$$$$$$$$.
In 1986 I talked his son into borrowing $2000 and investing $700 his summer earnings, into Berkshire Hathaway when it was trading for $2700/share.
She's back--she was short Dec 87.5 call options which at the time of the original post priced PM at 89.5/share. subsequently the stock dropped under the strike price so her stock wasn't called.
She sold more call options today and thank you for the new dividend-went xd today.
She sold about 60% of her shares. Note she recently added more last March--"Grandma Buys More PM
.She raised her PM holdings by 18% today to 12% of the assets in her account. She paid 78/share.
Last June she sold 25% of her PM shares at 85 so she's coming home.
Grandma likes her dividend income.
I'm also short 77.5-March-put options in my farm account so I may be buying more right before it goes XD."
I'm mow investing her $$$ in short term takeovers like PCP because as she ages her cost of care is rising.
This time she did buy more T and sold covered call options against it. Her net return from dividends and option premiums through April is 5% but her potential gains are limited to 34 and it could be called early for the dividend.
T is now her 6th largest holding at 4.9% and I regard it as a replacement for bond holdings. It's current yield is 5.6%.
She has an order in to buy T in the same account which may fill today.
AIG and AT&T, they both start with an A but other than that, I must be a very confused man.
She upped her position by 24% to 5.2% of her portfolio. Her prior cost basis was under $37/share. It's now her 4th largest position behind BRK, PM and MSFT.
If not at 70 by this time next year I'll run 5 miles and do one hundred pushups.
