  • OK, I don't often jump on boards and say things about what is going to happen b/c there is zero to gain but I just noticed looking at the charts that there is a major convergence of long term and short term resistance (a look at the 5 year chart shows it best). In the past when I have noticed these situations set up the moves have been huge....GD is a good example of what happens when the stock runs up. Anyway, I would expect that if BIDU can show that they are continuing to monetize mobile (and at a higher percentage of course) than the stock show aggressively move higher (as much as 40-50% over the next 6 months). Well, there it is....thoughts, preferably one's that have used a brain to conjure them up. GL, B

  • Looking at the portfolio I have no other options....BIDU is the only easy money in it....this is a 100B cap in 2 years so I gotta load up some more. I am looking to buy under 180/sh.....I don't think I will get it now that I have the limit in at 179 but time will tell. GL all, B

Seems that Morgan Stanley agrees that there will be a big move, to the upside.

Teach- Did you get into your position at the IPO??? Or did you get into it when it was in the 20s? Likely the latter....it would explain your continual negative tired old argument. I hope you at least copy and paste b/c it's been the same old thing from you for YEARS!!!! Yes, management will get paid, even when the company is not in the green. To have quality management you have to pay...I would rather pay now and have the plan run well in the future than make scraps now and scraps down the line b/c the plan was botched. GL, B

PNGGGJONES- Great post! I don't dispute anything that you are saying but I will tell you that as a long, and one who got longer on the last pullback, I do see this as a great speculative position. With big oil starting to get interested in NG I gotta think that they believe it is the future.....I mean, at some point our leaders here have to wise up and see that when you are holding a full house, you don't continue to fold. We are sitting on a FULL HOUSE!!! I own GLNG also and it is ripping based on the fact that in the next couple of years we are going to be exporting....everyone else has figured it out. I have confidence, and patience, that we will here also. Best of luck to you. Let us know when you buy.....B

  • Please people, before you run around posting that you have just read the most embarrassing thing on yahoo....scroll around the site. People on these boards can actually type in a language that is learned in school, which is a start. They can also talk about something other than what is directly in front of their face which is abstract thinking at a minimum. To say that a person on this or any ticker board is an embarrassment really just makes YOU the embarrassment! Get real and except that there are people who have a different view than you. Well, that is all I have to contribute to my scroll though the board tonight as the stock is on a tear of late and I hope it can fight the tide of the Global negative trend that is this week. I think that a level of resistance will be established today as Iraq helps nobody spend on China. Not right now. BIDU has an excuse to sell off today, perhaps I will join the selling. Not likely. GL all, B

fingers crossed....but I do tend to agree with you. They seem to be in the favored niche of children's toys and their CAP is only 500M which seems very low when you get tunnel vision of just their sales numbers. Time will tell the story. I think there's a chance that the stock trades in the double digits this year and I can't see, under any circumstances really, it trading below the 6/sh low. GL, B

Market correction??? You watch to much CNBC...we are pulling off all-time highs. If there is a correction as you call it, it is likely half way done already....that isn't a correction, that's a breather. Eventually all the perma bears will be correct and the equity markets will correct meaningfully, but as long as there is no place better to put your money, and there is 'real world' inflation, the equity market is the best place to be. Of course it isn't as good as it was a year or 2 ago...or 3, 4, or 5.....but it still had time for now. Trust me, you don't want to be calling a top any more than you want to call a bottom. GL, B

Well, I am a long and I am insulted by you...grow up fellow long. You do realize that who you are invested with speaks to the investment. If I am invested with a lot of people who speak the way you do then I will gladly sell and I would assure you that there are many like me. Grow up or go away please...for your own sake. Don't get me wrong, I have done some of the same things you have done but have also been educated why it is a foolish way to approach it....thanks in advance, B

So with earnings tomorrow night, who would like to make a prediction at where BIDU opens on Friday morning...it's just for fun...I personally expect that mobile is moving right along and as a result they will beat sending the stock up to 212-215 range. Since I said an exact price above I will say 214.73....and it will likely drift lower before rallying next week to 225...Time will tell. Have fun.

I said yesterday that it would open at 214.83 (i think it was .87....you can see if you look....Just for fun was the subject) and that it would fade throughout the day to the 212 area. I wouldn't be surprised if something like that happens BUT...that was a fantastic Q!!!! I also said it would run to 225 next week....I'm not selling in the low 200s, why would anyone else? I get the feeling that things are gonna be pretty interesting over the next month. The big question is, what are the MMs gonna estimate the growth rate to be? Many have the next 5 years in the 20-30% range, it may be conceivable that they were off be 10%. If that's the case, what will they give the FPE (1yr)? Will they give the FPE a 60? That would still be cheap....Those who are talking about 300/sh this year aren't necessarily pipe dreaming if you ask me. I wish I had a crystal ball but I don't so take my words with a grain of salt. GL and congrats, B

OH, remember....it isn't a gain till you sell it.

    Cramer

I tend to agree with him. I am long.....CLNE is a speculative holding that I have accumulated over the last 4 years, in fact, I may have first heard of it from Cramer (who is great at predicting market sentiment but no better than anyone else with individual stocks). Anyway, I own positions in all areas of NG becoming a larger part of our lives. From producers to shippers to retail....4 to be exact (unless I'm forgetting 1). At some point I am sure that they will all pay off...but when? CNE could easily be a 8-10B company when NG catches on, which it is, but it has to get profitable quick otherwise the company itself could be in trouble. They need to quit the build-out and start opening stations so that EPS can actually be...oh, positive for a change...lol. Anyway, as for the people that are big bears on this board (teach, to be exact) all I can say is that if it weren't for the investors and leadership that CLNE has....this stock would already be ZERO! In the end, I am holding and bought the last time the stock dipped into the 8s so I guess I am here to stay until something changes that. GL, B

With respect, if you don't understand how their plan differs from those of DRYS or DSX than you don't belong investing in equities. While I understand that the price action has been quick, more so than I ever thought, it is justified based on the World shift to NG and the need of it from the West. GLNG has a realitively unique strategy that is backed by BIG MONEY CLEARLY!!! The question I have is, "Why can't you see that?" The market cap isn't all that stretched that this point....the market has already made up its mind that it likes the company's plan, its management, and the likelihood of success. If you are still doubting but want in I would personally say not to buy here, hope for a pullback to the upper-50s (which will likely occur at some point), if it holds support levels...buy it up. Or you do what I did with X.....don't buy and just watch it continue to go up and up and up and up and up and up......you get what I mean. But for the love, if you missed it....let it go! Go to X board, you won't see me crying over missed opportunity. Go find the next one and be patient in doing so. Best of luck, B

As I sit here at almost 2am and glance though the portfolio and have to look at WLT...errrr...I have to admit it. It got way worse than I thought it ever could. I might buy some more if the situation is right (news and sh. price) but I don't think so. I won't be selling either. Obama won't win the next election so I'm pretty sure that fact alone is worth 10#$%$ some point.....but I still can't buy b/c I am OK with defeat here. That said, the fact that I have learned to take a loss....this means it likely will turn out to be a missed opportunity. That would be the day. Of course, just look at GE, WFT, GD, GS, UPL, CLNE, POT, BIDU, AAPL, NFLX, and the list goes on....if I gave up on all of these....then where would I be???? I'll hang and kick myself later....I have to admit that I'll done it before, and I'll do it again. Go Republican party! Well, for this position anyway. GL, B

I like to trade around my positions as well though I have a full position here. This is a position where conviction has paid off for me at this point in time. It's nice being up 70% for the position and have no bad buys. I wish all my holdings were as sweet as this one. I find myself in a holding pattern at this point. I think the stock is gonna be stuck b/c people have been burned here at this valuation a couple times in the past 5 or so years. It will be a Q by Q story for awhile. BUT, the point I was making about a year or so ago was, the street needed to gain trust....now that trust must be believed and accepted...when it is, that is when the flying will occur. If they execute over the next year this stock will go to the $35-40 range. GL all, B

oh I forgot...they have a 7 to 1 cash to debt ratio!!!! I am actually angry, as a long, that the ratio isn't way less...say, 2 to 1....it's the thing that has actually worked against AAPL the last few years....

Ok, I'll bite....I will do the math but in the meantime....you may want to buy out of your short position. The problem is...who is going to sell to you? Not me. Not yet. Also, taking on 3B in debt for a company worth 70B...or even 20B for that matter is common sense. You don't put your dollars on the line when the 'bank' will let you put theirs on the line....some people see not having debt as a negative for a company. To draw a parallel, go try and get a mortgage without any debt.....it's not an easy thing to do. It was my biggest obstacle when I bought my house. I didn't have credit cards and the ones I did have I had cancelled, THAT WAS A BIG NO-NO apparently...thankfully I was young. Anyway, PWANSLY, we are of differing views which means that I have a lot to learn from you. Thanks for you post and I will think about this more in the AM. GL to you and sorry for the sarcasm earlier in the post, B
