drstone is a parrot. Or that's the equivalent of what's left of his brain after the ravages of Alzheimer's..
Just like I said, "I am sure people who agree with him will shower him with money..."
IS that what yo9u said about discrimination against blacks in the 60's?
So you think the knowledge would be kept from the President of the United States?
Put down the bottle and the joint, you're hallucinating again!
I'm sure they have been working on such a device, among others, for decades. Unfortunately it is not an easy thing to do.
And while that would significantly reduce the problem, it would not eliminate it as it assumes one know where the nuclear device is located. While it would reduce the likelihood of all-out nuclear war, it would not address terrorist use of a secret nuclear device smuggled into a country.
Certainly the response is inappropriate, as the appropriate response is for people that do not like his policy to simply not patronize his establishment. There are idiots on both sides of the political spectrum.
That said, he is not very bright, Most business owners know not to mix business with politics and make statements to news stations on political issues, particularly when there is no need to:
"O’Connor said he’s never been asked to cater a wedding, and that the response was hypothetical in response to questions posed by the news crew. "
Why go looking for trouble? I mean who uses a Pizza place to cater a wedding?
But don't worry, I am sure people who agree with him will shower him with money to try and make their point. So he will come-out of this much richer.
Indeed, concealed carry makes life more dangerous for the Police, as they must differentiate the "good guys" from the "bad guys" in the heat of the moment, or assume that everyone shooting a gun is a bad guy and risk killing a person trying to "help" with their gun.
It would be nice if they could create an impartial commission to analyze and report on the overall impact of concealed carry, as most of the statistics sources are strongly biased either for or against concealed carry.
It is a fact that some concealed carry people are well-trained and a benefit, but it is also true that some concealed carry people should never have a concealed gun. What isn't clear is the net effect overall.
Universal background checks will not eliminate the problem, but they likely will reduce it, as is the case with most laws on the books.
Universal background checks will have the result of increasing the cost of guns to felons and make it more likely they will be forced to buy an inferior weapon, vs. one of their choice.
When one sells a motor vehicle, one must register the change in title with the State. Why should keeping track of gun sales be less important than motor vehicles?
"why would a criminal use a gun that can be easily traced back to him?"
Newsflash... many criminals aren't very smart.
There are plenty of crooked politicians on both ends of the political spectrum and they should all be caught and tried.
Politicians have much more in common with each other than with the voters of either party.
I have never heard Saudi Arabia described as “the land of the free and the home of the brave”.
Well, Reagan did call the Taliban, including Osama Bin Laden, as "Freedom Fighters" no different that America's Founding Fathers. And Osama was from Saudi Arabia.
I find it quite revealing that you are comparing the Indiana law to Saudi Arabia.
I guess you do get it after all.
