Most top posters here & Intel was claiming 2 to 3 year process leads. I dont like what I'm hearing regarding the competition and their aggressive schedules.
Thats what Intel tried to do years ago (vertically integrate a smartphone with its own chip & OS) & Otellini failed miserably. Smartphones are a strictly platform/ecosystem business model & you need to have the right network/partnering strategy to make it work. Intel failed from Day 1 & continues to do so. Now, their only competency, chips design, is behind the other ARM players, including Apple chip designers. Meanwhile, us shareholders are paying for this $1B mistake every quarter.
Wasting $B's of our shareholder $$ but to what end? Nothing but losses. They're still about 1.5 years behind the competition & no guarantees they will ever catch up. MWC was a disaster for Intel.
to align with growth projections. That would make the stock jump. Like at what Cisco did in the past year & their stock price now. Intel's CFO is NOT doing his job, plain-and-simple.
Mediocre leaked benchmarks. How many years have Intel designers have been at this, and this is what they come up with?? Very disappointing, especially compared to what Apple, Samsung & Qualcom are coming out with. Huge mistake trying to do it alone. Intel designers not up to the task.
The sooner this Socialist President leaves Office, the better. Didnt have an original economic idea in his entire tenure. The only reason the market is "up", is that there was no place to go but up after the 2008 crash.
Investors are increasingly worried about Intel's continued failure in mobile. Losing Billions every year is not a winning strategy. Otellini should have bought ARMH when he had the chance.
