Renee James can certainly talk a big game, but can she deliver? She hasnt done so yet. She's most likely Intel's next CEO, so the next few years will be her "trial period".
Read his latest article. Very thorough methodology. Good to see him back on Intel's stock bandwagon!
Any buyer would have to re-negotiate the x86 licensing deal. Thats a few $B & years of litigation, on top of the current market cap & debt. Too many headaches for little upside. Bottom line is Intel is late with Android on Bay Trail. Ask Aessa what he thinks about this...
They wont cut but they wont raise either. That is a problem as big funds are looking for continuous hikes or they will drop the stock from their portfolio. Expect the PE awarded to Intel to drop if there is no near-term hike. Not good.
If you want to keep your credibility. Q4 guidance was a disaster on so many fronts, including lack of BayTrail products for the holiday season.
The Bear analysts will all attack INTC tomorrow.
Time to layoff about 20K employees, but at least he's doing the right things to clean up Otellini's mess. No more stupid, wasted $10B acquisitions in the horizon at least.
Might as well get all the bad news out now...Massive short-term hit, but will help the stock come January. The 14nm problems is a major black eye for a company who claims Fab superiority.
The 14nm problems is a major new development. Thats the only competitive advantage this company has....I thought the new CEO was a manufacturing guy & he lets this happen?!?
