Future growth projections does not support the current PE. Expect a correction soon. Then, it will be a good buying opportunity.
Major blow to Otellini's legacy, which was MUD already. Otellini a worse CEO than Barrett, & that's saying a lot.
All this talk about CPU benchmarks is meaningless unless Intel steals design wins from Qualcomm & others. In fact, it just adds to the argument that Intel doesnt know how to monetize its huge Fab expense. A big disappointment tomorrow if we dont hear any mobile design wins.
more likely Microsoft is limiting Pro volume so as to promote the NT version. Ballmer want to kill off Intel/x86 & use ARM to build an app ecosystem.
Its becoming clear that Intel made a huge strategic blunder trying to force-feed x86 into mobile platforms...Brian K. better start talking about real Intel design wins into smartphones this week at the investor conference. Intel investors have had enough about Intel "promises" that never materializes.
They'll come out after the HP earnings & IDC/Gartner PC market reports, which wont be pretty. Every commercial & ad on TV is for Apple, Amazon or Samsung tablets & phones. The decline in PC sales are accelerating, not "flattening". Intel has lost the retail market. They better not lose the business/server market or else they will be the next AMD. The big mistake Otellini made was that innovation is taking place at the device/system level, not the CPU level. Intel has lost total control of its markets because they were content to be device suppliers, not device makers.
What a disaster. Fact: The American people dont trust Mr. Obama anymore. Fact: Democrats are jumping ship on this idiotic policy as fast as they can. It will be a bloodbath in January when Repubs will force major changes to Obamacare or else no new debt ceiling & budget. This time, Republicans will hold all the cards.
Have to question his motives. He's jumping around all the time with his positions & opinions, that its hurting his credibility. It seems as if he's getting paid for the number or article he writes, versus the quality, which is hurting his brand.
Not even close to be ready. Looks like no Intel smartphone market share in 2014. This is very disappointing. Intel wasted about $3B on Infineon & got coal in return. Brian K. better come clean next week. Otellini was promising 20-30% smartphone share by now. The new CEO better reset expectations.
Risky bet by someone, given the complacency in the overall market & Q4 PC numbers which are not looking good. Talk about a textbook case of a stock in a trading range, this stock is it. I cant see a pop above $25 unless Intel announces something like a 20K employee layoff plan.
What happened to Intel's 3 to 5 year process lead?!? Intel has failed its shareholders in terms of monetizing its Fabs. Why exactly is Intel increasing its spending on Fabs relative to its sales??
This is clearly going to be the fastest growing mobile segment. Once again, it appears Intel might be late to the party...Intel moving much too slowly in the mobile segment & getting left behind. The new CEO needs to light a fire under the employees.
