I also bought a ton of Lehman Bros figuring they just HAD to bail them out. They had just bailed out Bear Stearns which was a much smaller brokerage. LB was huge, worldwide, and to let it fail would have catastrophic results. Well, Treasury Sec. Paulson had a hard on for #$%$ Fuld who ran LB and did let it fail. These guys all know each other, they all went thru school together and hang out at the same places etc. Paulson let petty jealousies taint his decisions. Read the book "Too Big To Fail" it describes in detail the whole financial meltdown with AIG etc. actual conversations with Gietner, Dimon, Paulson & all the big bank CEO's. Its pretty eye opening to see how they hose the little guy all the time.

That's right, youre dreaming if you think Icahn would buy this POS. It has NO revenue, it is highly OVERVALUEED at $18 billion. He only buys companies that are making money, that are growing profits. This will be sub $25 next week. And don't think FB will pay this much for it either. Beaks.

A FDX tractor trailer crossed over the median and hit a bus full of high school students head on, erupting in fire and killing 9 people in Northern Calif. This is going to be one big time expensive lawsuit and payout.

I drive an 18 wheeler also, 500 miles every night, all Calif freeway and I do 55 because its the law, and because I'm paid by the hour. Yet going east I have 6 FDX big rigs p#$%$ me every night, all doing at least 65. None of them ever run with me, and coming back its the same story. I always thought that as a motorist out there on the freeway, you see a truck from a huge corporation speeding like that, its a blatant disregard for the law. It doesn't look good. It says "I don't give a #$%$ what the laws are and I don't give a #$%$ about safety".

Because let me tell ya, you blow a tire or lose control at 55 and its not that bad. But 65+ and you can kiss your #$%$ goodbye, along with everything in your path. And FDX management knows exactly how fast these guys are running, they have the same computer terminals in the cab that all the big companies do. It shows speed, if youre not moving and for how long etc. So its obvious that FDX management doesn't give a #$%$ about safety either, better to get those packages there faster and to hell with the consequences. So that's the question I pose to management and Fred.....was 9 school kids lives worth it? Nine kids that burned alive so you could make faster service? The sad part is that it most likely wont. I'll be watching but I doubt they slow down. But hey Fred, life is good for you right?
