I bought right before the close.. still happy with my big purchase back at 74 ... Im long term and loving those cash payouts!
I agree.. this run from 11.x to the current 12.7x is a retrace. I see Z headed back near 13.7x but div announcement... we really need to thank these Seeking Alpha short articles.. it gave us a golden opportunity at 11.5x ... where I was once scorn, I'm very pleased because I bought more. (now long 3000 shares)
he basically gave us what we ALL know (through our due diligence) a great opportunity in the mid $11's ... what they price action now and as these hack pieces come just wait a bit, then BUY LOW ... they may be able to manipulate the prices short term... but longer term we make out. (yes, I've changed my opinion on this because I did buy low this time and am benefiting from it)
Since writing this post I'm convinced his numbers were wrong and the arguments many have made that WHZ should be trading higher are spot on... I purchased another 2,000 shares and will ride this back UP into the next dividend cycle ... which if my predictions of 0.85 is right... my total position becomes profitable and can decide to either stay the course or move on. Thanks folks!
I did the same. I bought 200 shares to get the 100 PSX. Then when COP got around $71 and falling in January(I think it was Jan) I dollar costs down to $64 for a 1,000 shares total. ... COP is a favorite of mine and feel in 5 years it'll trade over $125 all the while collecting some $13+ dollars in dividends (that's if they don't touch it) ... good deal!
I'm long and am not selling. With that said I'm going to ping other Seeking Alpha writers to see if they would write a positive article to refute Culter's obvious Short article... I see this as an opportunity to both buy low AND for a Seeking Alpha writer to make a name for him/her self. ... Question, is this just me being bitter or should we activity seek someone to do this? (looking for feedback.. just frustrated that Cutler and others can cherry pick with the scare articles... yes, I get it that oil trusts go to zero) ... you think someone at Seeking would take the opposite side just for fair and balanced comments... oh well. Thanks in advance
I mean, C'MON PEOPLE ... yes, the SHORTS win in the end, right? I get it ... but how transparent is it that he's SHORT shares then writes an article (HELLO, worked with WHX every time) ... what I hate about this is ... even though WHZ has until 2021 ... the shorts that write for Seeking Alpha now SMELL BLOOD. They know from time to time that is convenient to them they can write a SCARE article and make BANK! (12% is pretty good odds, no?) ... I WISH some brokerages would have come to the defense of WHZ just to smack them around a bit saying "guys, guys, guys,... this works CLOSER to 2021... not SEVEN YEARS OUT" ... UGH! (rant over) and if your LONG... this is just the beginning of these scare articles I hate to say once WHX goes away.
I agree, own 2000 shares and might pick up another 500 right here. .. From what I see they beat earnings and maintaining the dividend... I think it heads back to $11.50 from here in good market conditions
all those cheap shares.. WOW! just picked off the vine at 31.x ... man. I don't know where the market goes from here and surely don't know where MPEL heads but this mornings action just shows that if you trading MPEL and have a loose hand.. they tried like hell to get you to part with your shares... I held basically thinking 'oh well, will buy more at 28.." ... like how its green right now
a distribution of $0.670762 per unit
I hold 1,000 shares of PAYX so I'm not a hater ... but with all the recent web based IPO's that offer payroll services on the web ... could our downtrend be due to Wall Street waiting to see if they take any business? ... I mean, didn't PAYX have another good quarter? I thought so ... thanks
I own GARS and PNNT ... both pay ~ 10%. Im looking at TCAP and would like your take on it. Why the sell off from recent high (-10pts ish) ..anything nasty out there that I should know? -- PNNT has been steady eddie. Trades between 10.75 and 11.75. GARS is the same.. trades in and around 14.x ... nothing scary there
I usually don't drag my feet in this mud.. but Sir, apparently your ignorant on the topic of this Trust and its best that you 'study up' prior to using your keyboard to post. C'mon man, study the hell up first. ... Oh and I'm sure your argument will be that WHZ DOES HAVE a shelf life which makes its a "Living Dead" investment ... yeah, we know that Mr Obvious ... that's why we educate ourselves. HELLO!
probably a little of that.. but WHZ is swing traded about 4 weeks out to grab its 'somewhat' predictable run of +$1+ ... basically beating the dividend every time. So this is predictable imo. I put in a buy order at 12.50 myself back in late December to play the same run but it didn't hit that... ugh! 12.56 was lowest
I own BMY at 35(500) ... bought more at 43(200) , 53.2(200), 51.9(200) and will add another 200 shares once this all shakes out. For anyone to think Bristol is going away or back to 35 is just plain mess'n with you. Just go back to last quarters results for all you need to know of the "bigger picture" with Bristol. Lets not forget Bristol beat earnings this Q too and if not for a spooking trials report (which btw Wall Street just read between the lines for this sell off) ... Bristol heads North of 60 (imo)
gnat, I'm long BMY 1,000 shares and am always watching.. I like Bristol long term to be a $150 Billion market cap like many of its peers. With it moving critical R&D to the more profitable cancer drugs that ARE WORKING ... I like this as a buying opportunity and think BMY bases a little more, lets all the selling out and as the buying comes in it moves higher towards $60+ ... now, if the overall markets keep selling off, BMY does as well unless some good good news hits.. its just the way it is.. IMO and I'm thinking of buying another 200 today.. this is a nice discount from its recent highs. Good luck
Trying to do my DD on this one.. I see they had good earnings... growth seems to be an issue (SA article) but no one mentions what will happen if they close the NorthEastern Nuc plants.. seems they get a large part of earnings from them.. thanks
