Look at it this way, if MJ1 opens in China the beginning of next year, then those earnings go towards the 1st Q results. So we won't really know how well MJ1 will do in totality until next year.
Would you open a plant in India after the aggravation they had with the Indian Gov't? How about Vietnam or Alabama?
I'm more interested in how this movie will do, not the last movies, they are all ready in the books. Looking for 4th Q results not jast year's results.
I can't believe the stock gods keep it under 8. It seems they are waving it under our nose's tempting us to buy, which we should do, but they know we don't have any money. It seems like the gods are just reloading to buy more. Too bad I can't buy more. I blame myself for not taking profits while I had the chance. You got to have a plan on how much profits you are willing to take, then stick to the plan no matter what.
These charts can be challenging to figure out. It almost seems that people want to see patterns, where there are no patterns - it is like you are forcing yourself to see something. You got to really know what you are doing when playing the Chart game and have been successful or i wouldn't touch it with a ten foot pole.
Sellers aren't stupid if they want their profits. I think in any stock you have, you have to have an exit strategy. Let's say NOK at $8 goes to $9, you might want to take some profits as an example. I wait until a stock of mine goes up 25% before I start taking profits, sometimes you got to wait a while before you take profits. Selling NOK is plain ignorant at this point. You sell on the way up or whatever price you earmarked to sell. This was a great buy opportunity to buy if you had money - still is good oppty. This is a long road, but don't foeget to take profits.
Go to the movie and make your decision. I like the first 2 movies and looking forward to this movie, which will lead to the big final movie. Just go.
The argument is they are "more" diversified than NOK, whatever that means. If your business sucks and your diversfied, your company still sucks, right?
A good time to buy, sure, but 9 at this point, nah. I do expect a rebound though soon, because on how unfair Nokia stock was treated. You had analyst that mischaracterized NOK business, but they did raise good points.
I do understand and the lack of diversification should be seriously examined, but they did is so harshly and swift after a very good quarter, that we didn't have anytime enjoy. Very Good Quarter, but let's beat the heck out of the stock and show the potential holes. Huh!? Criticism can be good and a constructive tool, it doesn't seem like it was used in this case.
The Market believes it is not getting Suri's attention in the way that it wants, which could be legitimate, but isn't it overdone after a very good quarter? I think it is. They are taking market share from it competitors, but the market wants more NOW or at least give up a plan on how Nokia is going to do with licensing and diversification. Maybe Nokia doesn't want to tip its hand. This sell off is ridiculous and way overdone. NOK stock will snap back a bit soon enough, but forget about people dreaming about $10 anytime soon. i see low 8's by end of the year. Too bad.
You make sense - very good, thanks. Like chicken comment, Bernstein doesn't have any credibility, if that is one of the downgrades you eluded too. So licensing is the unknown and therefore, the result is less diversification from Raymond James's point of view. So they have to monetize the licensing business more aggressively, which Suri knows anyway, but a shot in the butt for shareholders pocket book the last 2 days and negative comments should enhance Nokia's licensing zeal. What I am also realizing what the "market" is saying, Nokia needs to spend some of its money. Now if that means to acquire a rival company and/or develop other technologies in the pipeline, that could be the case. Suri is new as a CEO, the handset business/phone went to Microsoft this year and now Nokia is developing their own identity, but I guess the market can't wait and give him a full year. No damn patience! Only what you can do for me now after a great quarter. They are zapping Suri and his people, by zapping the shareholders, so the shareholders can light a big fire under his posterior.
Do they want more buy backs? Getting penalized for having too much money? They want a bigger dividend? Do they want consolidation? They want NOK to sell HERE? Is it a European Market thing and nothing to do with NOK? Shakeout, too many people excited about NOK, get rid of weak hands? Too many big hands in the pie? Don't believe NOK is still real and got lucky on last quarter? Too many short positions on the downside and they are or have expired? Any opinions or any comments?
