Thank you for the post. I think it will be alot sooner than that in this very competitive market, a year or two the most. I thought 3 to 5 yrs at one time, but it is just too competitive. Either a Hit or Bust, no in between for MONIF, as I see it.
If NOK can get a really good price for HERE why not? If NOK bought at $8B six years ago, why sell for any less that $20B today, correct? We will get another "special" dividend and NOK will have even more cash to play with, compared to the competition. You know the stock will jump as well. But its got to be the right price or forget about it. NOK isn't desperate.
Is Shake Shack or Loco Pollo good for you? I like Noodles food, it fills you up, good tasting. Not the question to ask.
It will be a difficult rode to 12, but I think it will happen by end of 2015. Maybe we will get surprises, but you never know. I hope the market holds up during this time.
That would be interesting to know.
It seemed that Halbherr had something else he wanted to pursue anyway, at least that is what I am lead to believe. But it seems that wealthy people always have something else they can do and money is not always the primary issue, because they got plenty of it. If Halbherr is not in all the way, then he needs to go, a good decision by Suri and Halbherr.
Maybe that's why it is up 2% today. Too bad Helbherrs can't play ball, especially on the cusp of very good things happening. Suri's big management decision. To me as an outsider, Suri did the right thing, without knowing all the details. Like someone wrote below: lead, follow or get out of the way.
Why would Nokia sell Here? Does it make sense for Nokia to do so? Maybe Here is part of a strategy that we are not aware of. Maybe they will sell it but in 2 years, who knows. I say let the management do there job and not micro manage the company. We are not part of the long term strategy and forcasting team, we are dopey stock investors that most likely don't know how to run a company, especially a foreign based company, that does work throughout the world. Probably many of us can't even run our desk. As long as NOK's stock is doing well, we should go for the ride.
This board has been pretty good about not getting involved in these sorts of issues. Their are other places to discuss your point of views. I hate to see the board degrade like so many have. Thanks.
Furthermore, you got Shake Shack about 300 yards away with long lines outside the door, Why? Shake Shack is very popular in Manhattan and they created a buzz. For pete sakes, Shake Shack serves up burgers, hot dogs, fries, shakes for the most part, big deal. They aren't so great, but they got the buzz or the hype. The food in Noodles to me is much better, but where is the hype?
The location in Westbury Long Island is a great location, but there is NO advertising. Where's the advertising??? You got almost 2 million people living in Nassau County Long Island alone and only one Noddles, come on. At least advertise and create some kind of buzz.
I do not think it is that dire. They have growing pains and have hit a rock. You can jump ship, but if the idea is to be "long," then longs should have patients or if you think it won't get better, cut your loses. Anyone in this stock, besides the gamblers, thought this would be a 5 - 7 year plan and should have expected a bumpy ride. They have one year since going public, I say give it time.
A good lesson though: don't buy a recently public company for at least one year, eventhough you may think it is great. You can buy LOCO, but you maybe loco.
You can't worry about every movie that comes out , it's crazy. Long Term is the answer. Seeing the company in its totality is the answer, not worrying about some movie that so far hasn't done that well in the US, but will probably do well in China.
You do have a point, but also one has to be realistic too. I say if you don't have the stomach for it, get out. My stomach still feels rather well, so I am in. There are alot we don't know, because we have no info to go on, so some make stuff up, either positive or negative. I even don't need Pepto.
It's the summer effect. If you want to put in the Middle East nonsense, go ahead, but there seems to always be Middle East nonsense. Russian/Ukrainia would be more troublesome to me as it relates to Europe. But if that is the case, you would think that more money would float to the US or far east.
Oversold or not, it was a great investment at 1:30, but now at 67 cents it is not? The news is very good, eventhough getting dated now. Let's see how it does in the Fall, but I guess the shorts rule at this point, when it turns around I believe it will go up quickly.
