Is it worth Iran to produce full-out? If they do produce full-out that tells you they are making money even if the price goes into the 30's or the 20's. Why would you operate a business if you aren't making money? It also tell you that these oil cartels and big company's make alot of money despite their crying and "experts" screaming doom. The oil industry has really pulled the wool over our eyes, but I'm not surprised.
That's good, but China is having major problems, would the chinese citizen spend the money is the question?
I'm not sure of the answer.
You have a point, but like I mentioned recently, who has the guts and money to take a chance when almost all stocks are down and market is going through a correction? I do not want to go to my bank to get new money out to buy these types of stocks, even though long term, you are probably right. The Herd is scared and hiding in the corner of the barn. I know it and you know it.
Osmosis, I wish I had the guts to buy some of these oil related stocks. Like EMES - I've been follow this company since it was 120, now it is 16, Wow. This is not the only example but my guts are weak and my pocketbook is thin.
It is ok to buy low or lower. Like now, buying NOK at $6.18 is good, will it go lower, probably, but my crystal ball is not working today. We are in a bad time for the market, but will it stay this way forever, No Way or what is the point of the stock market anyway. You have some good insights.
But can you quantify the sales and merge ALU into Nokia and come out with a "good" number? Us NOK investors will have to wait it out a couple/few years until there is a clearer path I hate to write. Nokia is a long term project, which I strongly believe will work out well, but it will take time and patience. No quick fix or magic. These short term movement in the market you can't worry about. You can't do anything about China or commodities or Europe or Brazil or War in the Middle East or potential US interest rate hikes, just wait it out, you will be ok. All we ask is Suri and his people do their jobs, everything else is noise.
Maybe it shows you something else. NOK didn't need him for the transition, they probably have Combes people who reported to him, in charge of the transition - they are probably competent. It shows you how hands off Combes was in the actually operation of the company. Hey, Alcatel/Lucent, this was the kind of guy who was running your business - just saying. You are better on the Nokia side now.
The French Minister does make a very good point. He couldn't stay until the end, make sure everything is running smoothly for the transition? Now if he was a clerk or engineer, I would understand, but Combes stake in the company is substantial, he's not a "regular" employee. He got a nice parting pay-out, better than any engineer, why not stay?
You got to be from another time and the world has passed you by. America was never what you thought it was, look around and now see it with new eyes.
Coop thought he was going to hit a Grand Slam with Monitise in a shorter period time than some of us thought, especially how well it did last year. He got greedy and sloppy and when things didn't work out, he baled. As Cramer says, He knows NOTHING! He got scared, as well as his "people," and now are out or almost out. He may jump in again if MONIF proves something. He can't carry around that much of a loss if he wanted to keep his job, in my opinion.
Shameful. A couple of the aliases on this board would do the movie Wolf Of Wall Street justice. Romo, Sell me this pen?
I think someday you will turn around one day and it will be 12. Now that won't be this year and maybe not next year, but if some of these big investment institutions get excited again about Nokia and Nokia is performing well, you may see that. For the most part, with most stocks you have to have patience and NOK is one of those good examples.
that's why it was down yesterday and today. Disney and others did not hit the mark so they got hit as well, so LGF is being pulled to the downside. Now is it justified, I guess will find out after the close
Not yet. If we can hold 7 that would be a starter, then 8. When NOK gets on a role sometime in the future, when analyst and trader feel better about them, maybe then 20. I'm thinking 3 yrs, but it could happen sooner if they show some positive results.
