It was 37 two months before CF. Whomever brought up the stock over the entire year wanted to get there profits. So they sold off before the release until now. CF was the excuse to sell, believe it or not. The stock was up 100% for the year about 3 months ago, so they sold and cemented there profits. CF was the catalyst for the sell-off, pretty cool!
Divergent is not hyped. Who knows about unless you are US or read the books? If Divergent does well, it will be a surprise to alot of people.
LGF is down approx. 25% in over a month, not because it is a "bad" company, but because people finally booked there long awaited proftis. Now to expect any real rally now is too me, being optimistic. Will it EXPLODE to 30, maybe, but not optimistic, but that depends on what the people who took there profits want to do. We got to wait until next year to see what big money wants to do with there profits. Buying now may be a great idea, IF you have any money. I'm tapped out.
But now the stock has come down from the high of 37 to 28 in a short period of time, so therefore, the stock has corrected or is still correcting, so your above argument is not valid anymore.
The reason the stock is down is so the big money people who own majority of the stock need to book profits, which they have made alot this year. The sold from the high to all the way to this point, now whether they want to sell more is unknown from me.
You are making assumptions. How would anyone know you are correct? You throw it out there like you know something, but you don't know anything, unless you are an Insider or you think you got your informtion from someone who is an Insider or knows an Insider.
If you were to look at this article and didn't know too much about NOK, you wouldn't even consider investing in them. This article reminds me of the end of last year and beginning of this year, it was weird feeling. Like I was transported to the past. Wow, this is a really unfair article, not mentioning all the good things going on in this company and the new NOK going forward. Who let this guy post an article?
This article was ignorant!
But no obvious scandals or wacky accounting. Buyout would be positive for the stock though. You are correct, its a waiting and/or buying game.
When next year comes, they will be buying in the 20's somewhere - Great price! They got all there profits from the end of 2013, now they will use there profits again, as any good capitalist would do. it is upsetting and all this seems like it doesn't make sense, but it does make sense. Who hates to look at there stock go down, especially when you don't have enough money to buy in the 20's? I know, I'm feeling pain too and don't like it. Don't worry about LGF, Cramer would hate for me to write it, do something else.
Manipulation is a harsh word to use, it almost seems illegal, which it is not. The retail investor who came late to the dance got to wait it out, until the people who are "playing" with the stock are done. If you can point to real negatives about this company and its prospects, then you might want to sell. If you don't have any obvious negatives, you hold or you sell and invest in something else. What is happening can work the other way too. When these "guys" stop and get all the profits they want, they will probably buy next year - bringing it up just as quick as it has come down in the last month. This is how it goes. You something have to have b---- of steel.
Relax and don't be so exact. When the transfer is completed, you will see and change. I was going to be sarcastic, but I refrained.
You got to ask the CEO and big money people who dominate this stock and company for such a deal, not us. What the heck are we going to do about it?
If LGF was to be bought out now, they wouldn't get the current stock price - a premium would need to be paid.
Not to say that the India thing is not important, but to think it will derail the new NOK and all its promise is fear based by the shorts. They want your discounted shares, so fear is a big way to do that. I am not a short and never played the game before, but do understand this is how people make a living. If this is how they make a living (rightly or wrongly) then they play these games - scare people to sell. Now we can debate whether they have any kind of soul or not and have lost there way in life to resort to this kind "business practice." The only people to affect the stock are big money people anyway, not these people who play with there inheritance or wife's money.
9 is high too, geez, it may meander around 8 for all we know. I wouldn't be upset if it did either, the stock and company in general have come along way.
