Who cares after yesterday. We can't be maniac about this. Yesterday bad and today not so bad, come on. Unfortunately, MONIF is a poor communicator. Where is the statement today from MONIF that yesterday was an aberation or something and everything is doing well? Alot of Red Flags.
Customer service is a big deal to me and they do a poor job in that. I guess this is what you get with a penny stock?
This is not about the regular retail stock investor today. I believe you invest in things that you like and understand and not get sucked into things that is not appropriate for you. No one is forcing us to buy BABA, so then we won't. Alot of good companies out there to invest in, but we can only chose a few of those companies because we do not have endless amount of money to invest. I guess you can always get a mutual fund, which is not a bad option, but it is not as fun or as possibly lucretive as owning a few chosen stocks. YHOO might be a good play, rather than BABA. YHOO has alot of cash now, don't forget them.
So your brother-in-law works for free? This is business, he should ask a fee. I never understood why one would give a family member a free ride when it comes to business.
So, what do you do when good companies stock get hammered? It is 12, wow. It was 17 a couple months ago. then in August it get hit, due to ok number, but the Street wasn't feeling warm and giddy about them. It has come down approx. 30+%, but is that enough? Not a bad place to start dipping you foot in the water, if one was so inclined. Something to think about.
I guess the thought is adding on a losing position, especially when the stock has already experienced pain could be a way to recoup ones money if there is a POP in the stock, which happens, even to severely damaged stocks.
The "Yes" vote lost. But at least it was done using the democratic process, which is voting. You are correct, William Wallace would be proud, eventhough he would prefer Scotland being own nation. See how things can be done when people are civilized, I hope others in the world would realize this. If the Scots can do it with its "clanish" and religious history, then why can't other parts of the world do the samething? I guess it takes time for some of the world to catch up, eventhough the history in those countries are older than the Scots.
