McCain comes off as a fabulous human being. From my viewpoint, his age was not really the factor. The factors were that McCain thought someone besides himself was needed to rally his campaign. And he chose someone who could do that. She could rally, was intriguing, but had not been vetted for a leadership appropriate brain. Besides that, McCain came off beautifully when he was candid and spontaneous, but not so much on stage. In those candid moments, he was the amazing hero.
"Society would be better off if liberals would just drop their disrespectful ATTITUDES!!! "
That's a really stupid thought. And you printed it for all the world??? (thanx)
The election of Obama was a world wide celebration that equality had magically arrived. Candles were lit, and there was sort of a hush in the weeks that followed. I believe that a segment of society actually walked a little bit taller. Now I feel that a wrecking ball could be on its way. Heaven help the stock market.
Don't quite remember ENE. But this has been something beyond my imagination. The great thing besides the cushion for me is that FB has provided the opportunity to become a different kind of trader. It has given me a sense of achievement that has come with no other stock. I feel that we all tread lightly on the rewards of stocks, and don't pat ourselves on the backs too much, because things change in a flash.
The Politics news has kind of an interesting piece on Lehmberg's prison stay. I live down here and can hardly believe her little grassroots group has Rick Perry walking a tightrope. If he was going to get ousted for anything, it might have been the billions that got cut from the education fund 4/5 yrs ago.
hammie, listen hammie, this is your second post in nine years. Are you doing okay?
Well, there was a time when I didn't know how to hold on to $50. So I must made as many $50 trades as possible. So I wasn't thinking that $.20 was a meager trade, just that it might be a huge amount of work. Not that that is a bad thing, just that it's a lot of work.
TWTR has been a great stock. Well ahead of itself with the momo, and then refused to hit a low level breakdown. What's not to love about a stock like that? It feels good and I'm going much longer. jmho.
lee, we have a 70 dollar stock that is beating the percentage off of nflx, cmg, qqq, aapl, tsla, lnkd, mcd, scty, jbht, etc., etc. The indexes made owners out of people who didn't even want it. Every time I give money away, it really does come back to me. Every time I need to sell a few shares, the stock goes up the same day. My parents didn't do stocks, and my husband hated them and thought shorting was completely illegal. This may come to a screeching halt at any moment and maybe election will throw a damper on things. If we still had 15% CDs I'd buy some for my kids and feel safer. Your thoughts about not selling FB for Alibaba is another interesting one.
My Mother taught me to always have fun. So it's genetic and there's not much that can be done about that...
The dark side of this board is beyond my understanding. But that is something to be thankful for, I am sure. My effyoo ability is from who knows where, but it is a freebie and there is plenty to go around.
You sound as if you dumped a little soon or didn't venture in at all. The strong really are the ones who sit on the sidelines, as the price per share on company after company just keeps rising. But like a broken clock that is on target twice a day every day, those fearless watchers will also be rewarded. One day.
