Call me a chicken, but I would much rather have the 7K where I knew where it was over the weekend. But you better watch out for the lawn boy.
today is the prime example why I dislike it so much. Disappointment is endless. And that despicable point and figure (if anyone was leaning on it) is misleading with a quadruple breakout. I hope that this is the beginning, as it well could be, for YHOO stockholders.
Slider, this is my favorite subject lately: Percentages and how to make it work with adjustments. In my life, adjustment plans for reality came quickly when they came. I must escape an annuity. To remain status quo, it will take thirty years for the annuity to do as well as I did last year. That's the difference between a machine and a mind. Credit where credit is due though - thank you, MZ.
Some reports say that maggotts do affect the pps. That is why bashing is illegal although pumping is okay, which is good because there's probably a fine line between exuberance and pumping. If a person is conscious, he/she knows that there's more going on here than meets the eye.
I voted for Bush and then Goober Bush. I really liked Herbert when he went gungho broccoli. Goober's best contributions to mankind were late night comedy appearances and then always staying in character when his words got so confused that even he didn't know what he was talking about. Goober, like so many GOPers, needed to make a difference - as though he was getting paid by the hour or something. His heart seemed always to be in the right place, yet his mind was regularly and obviously lost and shredded in the garbage disposal. I voted for the dark horse once. Talk about hope and change. What a moment in time for community organizers. My vote was cast in Texas, so the impact from taking a stand on an personal level was also quite a moment. And it was a stand that fortunately was made in droughtish conditions when fires were strictly prohibited...Trump might have had a better chance, but the guy has always had such terrible hair - for a rich guy, especially. He really
should have asked me what I thought would help. Smile maybe.
I have my own make believe world here, and associate certain personalities with certain names. Problems arise when someone else seems to have borrowed a familiar name for the day, and typical responses aren't generated - even though some names/personalities may be 100% computer generated for responses, it's fairly easy to fall into the pattern of looking forward to seeing those "people" and catching up with them. The thing that I try to monitor is responding to certain "people" too often. (Especially if they have wives, make believe as they also may be). Some days I don't mind piling on responses, especially to someone such as Slider who might have a good schtick going on. Bats and omens and libs and Obama monster schtuff keep things going between trades and lighten up losses, gains or whatever is going on. My problem is actually feeling a loss when some familiar "people" move on to "trade" somewhere else; and I have to adapt all over again to "my" board or even worry if something has happened to them. And then there are other days when the board is nothing but bot central, and I have to accept the fact that it's me, a straggler trader or two and the machines, most likely. But maybe some of these people are actually people - who would know? Overall, the MAGGOTTS are doing a bang up job.
Here's one: When was the last time YHOO was appreciated as a money maker or WS darling? Right now, news makes the board of directors sound like bumbling, well-paid fools who have no idea what they will even do with BABA proceeds to turn things around. "Turn things around" being the crucial factor. . . If Jack Ma considers investors to be a third rate priority, Yahoo! must consider them even lower. And that's probably okay, whatever they think, because most of us know that we make our own fortunes. They certainly don't make it for us.
Epoch_jay, did you watch the today's video on BABA? Here is the key sound bite to remember!!! BABA is in the category of having what is called "the first mover advantage". This label is what I've been in search of for FB. Good luck.
