That article seemed as positive as it could get. The Senator seemed to be shifting responsibility to powers that govern social media and not just the company owners and management.
1.1 billion to increase detention space. Hmm. How about leasing rooms from Americans who could use the money?
Usually I don't follow this kind of projection, but this one drew me in. Finding the strongest influence in stock motion seems to be a lost cause a lot of times. I don't remember the bundling momentum that you refer to - lots of details have come and gone since then. There is one element that I would interject as a detrimental force last quarter. Possibly that element has been included already. The dark cloud prior to earnings for me was the chart. Specifically the MACD. It was so low that I worried that even a very good earnings would not be strong enough to make the 0 hurdle before momentum naturally dispersed. From a technical point, however macro gets included, that is what seemed to take place. So, ripped off was exactly the feeling.
The prior weeks before last earnings, analysts upped the PPS several times. FB has gotten a nice overweight rating this round though. In general, I believe this crawl precedes a hefty increase. Whether or not it happens at earnings...? But December looks amazingly strong, and that high $90 projection looks like a fabulous start, and not to unrealistic.
This whole thing blew up per usual withing weeks of an earnings report. Anyone who thought that his/her "very own" Facebook site was not a case subject to further promote company sales was very far in the dark in the first place. When I (rarely) am on Facebook or most places online, I take it for granted that I am in some sort of Lab-Ratville. Why aren't folks upset about misuse of personal phone numbers? Why isn't that subject smeared across every newsfeed online?
Color enhancement has been used to persuade the public for a very long time. The Facebook difference is that Facebook offers individuals choice after the individual decides what the preference is. Marketers, on the other hand, say, "The human brain responds to these colors best. Folks are going to buy these things and they won't even know why they want them. They will be hooked and we'll get rich."
