Reading Wall Street tea leaves on SPPI

If antihama is correct the sell claptrap on page 2 is them trying to get retail longs and daytraders to sell or stay away so that they can begin the covering process as cheaply and expeditiously as possible.

You've convinced me PK...I am going to sell my SPPI and put it all in on PKT...not. The fact that you are saying that this is worthless has inspired me to buy another 1000 shares today. Your stock assessment skills leave a lot to be desired.

That was in a July 7, 2014 press release. 3 weeks is Monday, July 28 and not today. Additionally, I am sure they were putting the wheels in motion for a release after the Aug 5 decision and were surprised by the early approval as was the street. Given consideration for this, I'd be happy if belinostat was launched by mid August.

Just curious about "approval" and payment to topotarget. Would really like to read that contract to see what it says with regard to potentially having to do a confirmatory study for continued approval. I imagine that since this is not that unusual that this would have been covered in the contract language. I know its a very remote possibility that Spectrum pay the $25M and than have the "approval" withdrawn, but still a possibility.

rootbound, please quit posting so many messages on this board. This is a place for substantive discussion and not one liner non-stop posts. If you are truly long you will appreciate what I am saying because your constant new subject posting just clutters up the MB. If you really feel the need to post your enthusiastic thoughts, just do one subject and constantly reply to yourself. Thanks in advance.

    Short Interest

it will be interesting to see if the IDIX buyout by Merck has any effect on the 6/15 or 6/30 short numbers. The shorts have a completely known financial maximum upside when they short but a completely unknown and unpredictable financial downside maximum. If I was short in small/mid cap biotech right now , I'd have trouble sleeping ... especially our wonderful short friends on margin. And for those that think 12,000,000 shorts "must know something", tell that to the 19,000,000 IDIX shorts.
