jridley ". We are turning out millions of high school graduates who are shockingly stupid."

They are the future, the majority of the country now is shockingly stupid, there is absolutely no other reason they elected to give the most powerful position in the world to an incompetent boob, mainly because they can relate to him.

Even my own daughter thinks he "is the most inspirational person she has ever seen"........and she does not, or ever has, used drugs.

That's a drug free person talking. The idiots now have the power.

Is CMG just a glorified Buffet

Why are you asking people here in one sentence what CMG is, but in the next sentence you sound like you are a regular customer ?

  • The only people that make out on class action lawsuits.......are the people that instigate them.

The lawyers. Over the years I have had many stocks that were sued class action, the main one that sticks in my brain was Tandon Corporation (TCOR), at the time it was the largest disk drive company , alongside Seagate Technology. The CEO Jugi Tandon and his family were all executives in the company. They all were from India, and with their inside information they knew a drastic drop in earnings was coming up. and all sold their stock in advance.....but wound up getting exposed doing so. There was a class action lawsuit against them, I myself lost $68,500 on TCOR, it took over 5 years to settle the suit, my share of the suit was $500, and $1,000 worth of coupons to buy their lousy computers that they went into. They wound up filing bankruptcy. The settlement was for 300 Million, and about 10% of that went to us shareholders.....the rest went to the lawyers. And most of the settlement was covered by insurance. Every once in awhile I get stuff in the mail from lawyers suing companies of stocks I used to have, it's a bunch of paperwork I have to fill out, and show proof etc.. I just throw the #$%$ in the garbage. Class action lawsuits are bogus #$%$ for attorneys to drum up business, the stockholders are just the suckers in the deal. Five years of aggravation for $500 for me, from $68,500. Bunch of BS .

bbkenno You are correct, but last time I checked I there wasn't any e coli in there, and that's the way I want to keep it.
And when did I say I was any better than people working in restaurants ? When I say I see some ignorant person doing something unsanitary where I'm going to eat............do you interpret that as me saying I am better than them ? Your attitude is akin to some of these ignorant types I see doing the dumb stuff no food handler should be doing.

Maybe you should go and apply, sounds like you have the right stuff for the job.

I am not talking about TGI's or Appleby's either. I have dealt with little one owner Chili dog places, to the most high end restaurants in town, where all the sports figures, politicians, and some celebrities go to when they are in town. This one particular place downtown was beautiful out in the restaurant part, BUT you go down below.....where no customers go and there was so much grease all over the floor......ALWAYS, you had to take short steps to keep from falling. And it cost a lot more than $25-$50 to eat there, and that was years ago.

And where the employees changed from their street clothes the smell was so stifling I could not breath down there. And that was a very high class place, with of course a manager. I would be willing to bet that many customers if allowed to inspect where they eat at their high end places, from top to bottom...........they would cease eating there.......that is a fact ! And again, not all are like this, just like not all are that clean as you think they are......just because they are high end. Haha....So you think that someone like me puts TGI's and Appleby' in the high end category.........a commoner like me ?

You chastised us to begin with telling us to quit whining and eat at high class restaurants like you do , then we wouldn't be able to complain about unsanitary conditions.

    Sorry, but you are naïve.

rangerrick Do you think that using a bar rag to go around a restaurant wiping everything down, including the tabletops , AND places where there actually is food (lemons/limes) etc.is not a cause of sanitation problems ?

Employees are individuals, they are not all stupid, so it boils down to where the stupid ones are employed. Although I observe that it is a common practice in most eateries to clean seats and table tops with the same bar rag.

And I believe somewhere in this thread I said that not all restaurants high or low end practice bad hygiene habits. You can have your theory about high-end restaurants and their managers, but I myself have over my working career had dealings with a multitude of restaurants and managers of every kind, and even high end restaurants have managers that are overworked and underpaid, believe it or not. And are expected by their employer to drop what they are doing and come in and fill in for another employee that for one reason or another does not show up for duty.....like it or not. And as far as not tolerating anything other than the very best from their employees, nowadays these employees could not care less what you expect of them, and what they are going to give you. The turn over is high, in high and low places, so the managers have to kind of just deal with the losers they are forced to hire, or be doing hiring on a daily basis. Which is not a lot of fun. You may have your favorite high end place to eat, and are judging all high end places by yours, but like I previously said...........I know from first hand experience, they are not all equal. And by the way, when you wipe where people sit, and with the same towel wipe the table.....where people eat, you don't have to get it near the food.......getting it on the table top is plenty good enough for cross contamination. If somebody sat their funky butt on a table, after they got up and left, would you come along and plunk your meal down in that spot ?
    Me neither.

rangerrick I can personally tell you for an absolute fact that going to a "very high-end" restaurant is by no means a guarantee of high regards for sanitation. It's a false sense of security to think so.

Do you think the ordinary help at the high end restaurants are paid that well ?

Newsflash for you.....they are not. They are not the chefs.

Nice and shiny out front places, many times are filthy pits in the back. I know that for a fact, after forty years of dealing with these places. Some high end places are spotless clean.....and many are absolutely not.

They have dirt bag employees the same as any of the fast food places.

I know exactly what you are talking about. The last time we were there, there were two kids standing by the forks and knives, the older kid maybe about 10 yrs. old, grabbed a handful of the forks out of the container and was fingering through them, I don't know what the hell he was doing that for, then his parents called them to their table, so he sat the forks (about ten of them) back down on the counter and went to the table. A little while later an employee came over there and put the forks back in the container. A lot of junk goes on in restaurants that most people never even notice. And in Chipotle in the lemon/lime thing they will have a plastic fork in the container..........that every customer handles, right after they just come out of the nearby restrooms. And many people never even consider washing their hands after being in the restroom.

"along with servers grabbing a cup wth their fingers innside the cup as they hand io you. Don't managers train their employees?"

Haha...That one ticks me off too. Also they will grab a cup and put the cup mouth side down right on the counter where everybody puts their money. If the cups are within my reach I just grab my own, and sometimes they give me a weird look, I don't care. I guess I'm not the only one that notices this #$%$ that goes on.

The managers train them ? Most times they are no better. I complained to the manager at the Chipotle where the idiot was cleaning out the containers that hold the knives, forks, AND the lemons and limes containers with the filthy rag, she nodded her head to me, grunted "yeah I'll talk to him about that", I kept my eye on her the whole time after that, before we were through eating she was relieved by somebody else, and she left for the day. She never even got close to the guy that I told her about. They don't get paid enough to care.

beerbudget says....."Maybe next time, break up your paragraph, English 101"

Haha....really ? What the hell does my ENGLISH 101 have to do with the FACTS ?

You "realistically think it's the meat" ?

Then answer this question Mr. Knowitall................Do you think ALL the investigating that they have been doing would NOT have uncovered that little morsel?

You may be astute with your "English 101" .............BUT you are seriously lacking in plain old common sense !

In my working career I have dealt with the restaurant industry for forty years, I had been on a daily basis in the establishments.........where the customer's eyes do NOT go, and some of the classiest places in town , behind the scenes were/are the MOST disgusting. And in my opinion some of the health inspectors are on the take, and look the other way. Some of the small mom and pop operations the health inspectors nit pick over every tiny little thing, while some of the biggest fanciest places, in the back where the customers do NOT see are the filthiest most disgusting you could imagine. And most of the minimum wage employees couldn't give a rat's #$%$ less about hygiene.

Is my "English 101" clear enough for you to get my drift?

biotekchamp I have been thinking the same exact thing as you....."Question I have , why all these different states and stores cases happen almost same time/ weeks, where they do not even share the same source. That is suspicious."

I think it's employee sabotage myself. Maybe some big Wall Street hedge fund has employees working in different stores contaminating stuff. Think how easy it would be for an employee to simply go in the rest room and dip a bar rag in the toilet, or wipe it on the floor.....then come out and wipe the food prep counters etc. with it.

Some CMG employees' could be getting paid by some huge shorter of the stock.

    Nowadays nothing would surprise me.

  • bashers_are_liars by bashers_are_liars Jan 7, 2016 1:39 AM Flag

It's some of the braindead employees. Me and my wife eat at CMG all the time, although we haven't been there for over a month now, but we ate at least one to two times a week. And I can tell you I see some (not all) of the employees doing some pretty lame stuff. And probably many of you have seen the same things. I notice every little thing, mainly because I admit it I'm a germaphobe. What I see ALL the time is the employees going around and cleaning the tables off with the same rag as they clean the seats off with. How do they know somebody that had diahhrea wasn't sitting there , or kids that messed their pants ? I actually saw one employee go over to where the plastic spoons and lemons and limes are, and the lemons and limes were nearly out, so he emptied the rest out in the new supply.....THEN with the same rag that he cleaned the tables and seats with........wiped out the containers that hold the plastic utensils....AND the containers that the lemons and limes were in, and refilled them with fresh lemons and limes. We have gone to about 8 or so Chipotles around here, one in particular had the toilet overflow all over the floor a few times. Think about it, people go in there with their little kids, and walk all in the overflow......then go out and stand on the SAME seats that the ignorant employee wipes off with his rag, then the table tops. Once in awhile the kids will even stand on the tables. I don't think a lot of restaurant employees nowadays have any food handling training at all. Not like the old days. This may sound ridiculous, but I carry alcohol with me and clean off the table tops in any restaurant we eat in. And actually lately I have seen some other people doing the same, but I've been doing it for many years now. And I don't care who sees me doing it. A little over a year ago I notified Chipotle about the idiot cleaning out the lemon/limes and utensil containers, and the seats and tables with the same rag....never heard anything back.

Sounds like the stock market is not your game. In football it's a slaughter, in the stock market this can be an opportunity.

If this was a total disaster the stock would be at ZERO. Panic creates opportunities.
