Simo was also around $27 over ten years ago. Is that long term value too?

Showed up on my Scottrade board and brought daily volume to over a million shares. Almost doubled the volume in the last minute of trading.

Any thoughts on what to expect tomorrow?

Mid level guidance on revenue and no guidance on earnings if I remember correctly but upper level on GM. Should be interesting. Looking for down day tomorrow and depending on guidance, up from there. Just hope they don't pound the pooch again like last few ER's. They have a record of sandbagging and using the wrong words in their guidance. Good Luck to all!!

    Shareholder Revolt

IN response to Mr_Chumps: Same thing in 2014 as 2013, increased pay, perks and free shares at shareholders expense. Total lack of confidence in upper level decision making officers and BOD is why this POS will go nowhere. Why should it when they get paid for failure? One look at their charts would scare away any potential investors. HoHoHo SIMO, thanks for the great Santa rally. Time to start clawing back those pay packages and stock options and send these AHOLES into the unemployment line...

  • bbad1@sbcglobal.net bbad1 Dec 26, 2013 12:21 PM Flag

This is what you get when you pay people for failure. This management team and BOD should have been dismissed years ago based strickly on share price appreciation. Nothing but unfulfilled promises and they get paid for it. Oh yea, that's right, they pay a dividend now. Shame on me, I should be happy with 15 cent dividend when share price goes down dollars. My bad....What a total POS yet people on this board still pumping away thinking things will change..If it looks like #$%$ and smells like #$%$, guess what? Anyone thinking differently is in total DENIAL. This opinion coming from someone who has been long this POS since shortly after they went public. Time for SIMO management to deliver or get off the pot. Minimum wage janitor couldn't have done any worse!

Typical SIMO day. "flaccid peter" chart pattern. Start strong and hard and end the day weak and useless. Been holding this hound for 9 years too and been nothing but great guidance and undelivered results. All corporate officers and BOD deserve big pay raises and another million free shares in 2014. Bet share price would improve if they had to pay for shares like investors do. Then again they might not invest their own money in this POS. 2014 could be the year they extricate their heads from their #$%$'s but don't hold your breath.... 40% up market year and SIMO flat to down. Time for a pallet of VIAGARA. Go SIMO. Time to deliver or get off the pot!!

SIMO demonstrating the #$%$" chart pattern again today. Starts the da on the ceiling and ends up on the floor, Great job SIMO management. Oh, that's right, it's because of APPL. MY bad, again...

They repurchased a million shares but the float didn't go down. That should tell you something. What you have been seeing the last couple of weeks is SIMO's Santa Claus rally for their shareholders. This company is a good example of what you get when you pay big salaries and perks and get failure in return. After being long this POS for 9 years I have come to the conclusion that management and BOD don't even know how to extract their own heads from their rectums. Looks like share price will be down this year on 40% up market year. Great job SIMO. Shareholders need to give you a big payraise next year and more free stock options. Oh!, that's right. Shares are undervalued ! Pardon me, my bad, this explains everything. Bet share price wouldn't be down if they had to pay for their shares like investors do......

Yes, that is probably true but the question remains why is company vastly undervalued? The only thing dividend did was hold it from going down that much more..

Yipee! Every time they issue 15 cent dividend shareprice goes down dollars. Keep the dividend and start running the company with shareholders in mind.

No I have not proof but why would you file to sell specific amount of shares and then not sell them? Is it even legal to do so? My guess would be that they knew they were heading into troubled waters and divested shares before they got there. No matter how you try to justify this company it is trading at same price s when it went public almost 8 years ago and there can be no excuse for that other than utter incompetence. again, I am long this stock for years and truly believe it will go nowhere under this leadership. They are being well paid and overly benefitted but their performance does not justify it. Shareholders own a company and should share th e wealth but that is not happening. Anyone not seeing a problem here is in denial. It is what it is and right now and in the past,it is JUNK.

They made public information about selling shares a few months ago. I do believe company started in California and moved to Taiwan when they went public. Corporate America trained them, how else would they know how to off-shore American jobs? Been long this loser for over 7 years and nothing but excuses and unkept promises. Like I said before...JUNK.

  • bbad1@sbcglobal.net by bbad1 Jul 17, 2013 3:46 PM Flag

At least we know why CEO and CFO sold so many of their shares a few months ago. Of course, they get them free anyway and the shareholders get the shaft as usual. My blind crippled dog could have done a better job running this company the last couple of years. And we could have just thrown him a bone instead of millions of dollars and way too many free stock shares. Another company with the board of directors asleep at the switch. Got to love corporate America...

    Institutional Ownership?

Sorry been traveling and just got home. In answer to your question greed took over and I did not sell when I should have. I have been long this stock for over 7 years and keep hoping it will break out. I had several opportunities to sell high but was not smart enough to cash in when I obviously should have. Hope this answers your question.
