These burger joints are destroying themselves by charging almost 10 bucks for a value meal. That approaches fast casual sit down dining, which is a much better class of food. Value meal should be no more than about 3 bucks.
Straw that broke the camel's back. Black people have been persecuted and marginalized by white elitists and Republicans for decades. This incident sparked deep seated anger over years of injustices, I term the condition " black rage". They are powerless against the wealthy elite and movers and shakers in politics, so rage must be vented against those symbols of destitution and oppression they can get at; ergo...the local businesses and law enforcement.
Southern republicans are crazy, I think its the heat and humidity that get to them.
Rioting rarely works in these types of cases however. I do think the black people of Fergusen need more representation at an official level and in gov't. Rioting in the 60's was for important causes; this riot seems to have been used by some unscrupulous people to instigate local anarchy. I am saddened for the death of another young black man in his prime. That police officer should probably be removed from the force.
right to work is the biggest scam ever foisted on the citizenry. I hope people wake up to the machinations of the Republicans and the Kotch Bros. Republicans are out to create modern day serfdom, they must be fought on all fronts.
typically happens with these types of biotechs. This isn't Intercept Pharma. I shorted from about 11 bucks a share and am doing pretty well on it.
I learned my lesson with CLSN and AMRN. I got lucky on AMRN and sold on the pop at approval. Since then I just short approval for these types of stocks. Short from 11 doing well so far.
One of the few decent posters on the YSMB. Same people that think every man is an island unto himself and businesses are not reliant on any type of gov't for their success. Except....infrastructure, stable political environment, population of Americans that are consumer oriented, rule of law, police, etc etc. Business exists in a vacuum........ right.
Walmart is a huge beneficiary of subsidized gov't handouts. Average employee uses 4000 dollars of gov't benefits per year. Walmart should be charged per employee for this. Pay a living wage or get charged for the cost of subsidizing the employees. Can't have it two ways. Gov't will get its due one way or another.\
Sadly as the wealth divide grows to cosmic proportions in the USA, we will see more militarized police and gestapo tactics used to repress the vast poverty bound population and keep internal revolution at bay.
