Why won't they come clean and admit now that there's no way the new satellite goes up in 2016. They went with SpaceX to save a few dimes and those guys are nowhere near ready to put that Falcon Heavy on a launch pad. Oh, I know why they haven't announced it…insiders are too busy dumping stock.
I still follow this board, but haven't posted in a long time. This used to be a place where good ideas were shared, but now it's sadly degraded.
Anyway, good things like this always take longer than you expect, but I believe we are finally close to seeing the promise of this little company become reality. It's becoming obvious that while management has been heavily criticized over the years for failure to deliver, they were actually working very hard on some very real projects. The insider buying over the last 18 months was all you needed to know. The stock popped today because of the GM announcement. It doesn't take too much reading between the lines to see that GM intends to roll out their infotainment system with infrared touch screens to most or all of their vehicles near term. First ones go on sale in 4 weeks. Several other auto companies seem to be falling in line and I get the sense little NEON will soon dominate the auto market as they already do e-readers and printers. I know revenue has been slow to come, but it's coming. Add a significant PC partner or two and it's not a stretch to see a $100mm revenue run rate 2-3 years from now. The beauty of the licensing model is that doesn't cost more than $20-25mm to run the business every year at most, so that would be $75mm per year of profit. I won't wager a guess on the appropriate multiple for those earnings, but safe to say this stock will move very quickly as the reality of the future royalty streams comes into focus.
The short is stuck. He was hoping to force panic with his lies and cover into a sloppy secondary sub $2. That isn't going to happen. ALV and the PC partner(s) ruined his plans. It's only a question of whether to take the medicine now or later. Every day he waits gets more expensive as the borrow cost I see is over 12%. One day, Fidelity, Blackrock, etc will recall their shares and he will be gone.
Yes, things are looking good here. If the market holds together (big if) this stock could be high $20s soon as comparable companies are trading at 5x forward revs. I've struggled to understand the ceo change a while back, but my best guess is that Drachman wanted to sell the company and the board didn't, given the long term potential. I think the brought in Carrel to grow it and he's doing a great job. The office they just opened in Minneapolis is a clue that he plans to be here for a while. With the growth of current products and the upside of the DEEP trial, I think this could be a $3bn+ company in 5 years.
This guy sounds like our old friend, J0hn_chambers under a new alias. I have been a bit puzzled by the growing short position. I can't imagine what the thesis could be other than all small cap med device cos are overvalued. Anyone who thinks this isn't worth much because it isn't profitable has no idea how to value growth equity.
