Hundreds of Al-Qaeda Militants Escape from Abu Ghraib Prison – Mockingbird Media Silent
On Monday, Iraqi security forces went on lockdown in Baghdad after al-Qaeda attacked two facilities including the Abu Ghraib prison, setting hundreds of prisoners including al-Qaeda militants free. The rebel group has since claimed responsibility for the assault that killed dozens, and Said Arikat, correspondent for Al Quds, explains how these assaults are orchestrated and how effective they can be with regards to the current state of Iraq.

What better way to make sure there is no longer any gold than to ‘destroy the lack of evidence’? A massive fire has struck JPMorgan’s gold depot. Does the FACT that JPMorgan’s gold inventory plunged 66% on Friday have ANYTHING at all to do with this fire? When will American’s learn the bankers have looted us all? At least all of us still doing business with the bankers….something I gave up long ago…
A journalist on scene on Wall Street this evening has just sent us footage of a massive fleet of Firetrucks and ambulances in front of JP Morgan’s former headquarters at 1 Chase Manhattan Plaza, with fire-fighters stating they are responding to a COMMERCIAL VAULT FIRE IN THE BASEMENT of JPM’s headquarters at 15 Broad St!
With JPM’s gold inventory plunging 66% Friday to an all-time low of 46,000 ounces, and with reportedly over 502,000 ounces still standing against JPM for the JUNE gold contract, is the long anticipated force-majeure event in progress?
U.S. Government’s Secret Move to Hide Files on the Osama Bin Laden Raid
Posted on July 8, 2013
The Osama Bin Laden raid was suspect from the very beginning. Not only were key initial descriptions of the assault completely incorrect (such as him being armed and his wife being killed), but the manner in which his body was rapidly tossed into the ocean was beyond bizarre. I mean, Tony Soprano keeps a body longer than that.
Well it seems the “most transparent administration ever” has made sure that the American public never receives any information beyond the propaganda of Zero Dark Thirty. From the Associated Press:
WASHINGTON (AP) — The nation’s top special operations commander ordered military files about the Navy SEAL raid on Osama bin Laden’s hideout to be purged from Defense Department computers and sent to the CIA, where they could be more easily shielded from ever being made public.
The secret move, described briefly in a draft report by the Pentagon’s inspector general, set off no alarms within the Obama administration even though it appears to have sidestepped federal rules and perhaps also the Freedom of Information Act.
But secretly moving the records allowed the Pentagon to tell The Associated Press that it couldn’t find any documents inside the Defense Department that AP had requested more than two years ago, and could represent a new strategy for the U.S. government to shield even its most sensitive activities from public scrutiny.
Multiple War Crimes of Obama, Bush expertly explained: 12-minute video
The Truthseeker: Obama’s arrest, Bush’s trial: 12-minute video
by George, Washington’s Blog:
RT’s The Truthseeker 12-minute video explains with multiple expert witnesses the legal argument for War Crimes prosecution against US government “leadership” in the Bush and Obama administrations.
The most egregious War Crime is unlawful War of Aggression, with deaths in the millions. All “reasons” for these wars are now acknowledged in official US government documents as known to be false as they were told. This means that it is uncontested conservative history that US “leadership” lies directly caused thousands of deaths and injuries to US soldiers; arguably the crime of treason for being the cause of attacks on the United States.
The most elegant solution is for Americans in military and government to recognize “emperor has no clothes” unlawful orders, refuse them, and arrest those who issued them.

Stacy Summary: Jibber Jabber thread for today. Payroll data shows BOOM in jobs! 195,000 jobs added in June. 107,700 of those in retail, restaurants or amusement parks. There was a decline of 6,000 in manufacturing and another 7,000 jobs lost in government jobs. In total, 135.9 million people are working in the U.S., which is 2.154 million below the precrisis peak (not adjusting for population growth). The worst news evident in the jobs data was that U-6 jumped to 14.3% from 13.8%. Let’s hope serving French fries begins to create wealth for the economy because holders of GLD seem to think so:
Obamacare Strikes: Part-Time Jobs Surge To All Time High; FULL-TIME Jobs Plunge By 240,000
from Zero Hedge:
As a reminder: jobs have quantity and quality components. The quantity component was good enough to convince the 10 Year the taper is imminent (if not stocks, which continue to trade dislocated from any and all fundamentals). But how about the quality? In a word: not good. In June, the household survey reported that part-time jobs soared by 360,000 to 28,059,000 – an all time record high. Full time jobs? Down 240,000. And looking back at the entire year, so far in 2013, just 130K Full-Time Jobs have been added, offset by a whopping 557K Part-Time jobs. And there is your jobs “quality” leading to today’s market euphoria (if only for now).

The European Union has ordered a worldwide security sweep of all its premises following reports US intelligence has bugged its offices in Washington, Brussels and the United Nations.
Jose Manuel Barroso, president of the EU's Executive Commission, "has instructed the competent commission services to proceed to a comprehensive ad hoc security sweep and check" in light of the most recent spying allegations leveled at the US, spokeswoman Pia Ahrenkilde Hansen told reporters.
The sweep follows a report by German weekly Der Spiegel, based on revelations by fugitive whistleblower Edward Snowden, that the National Security Agency [NSA] bugged EU offices and gained access to EU internal computer networks.
Ahrenkilde said allegations of US spying were “disturbing” and demanded “full clarification.”
"Clarity and transparency is what we expect from our partners and allies and this is what we expect from the United States," she continued.
Ahrenkilde added that commission premises are “regularly swept and communications networks are checked against spying and eavesdropping.”
However, a spokesman for Catherine Ashton, the EU's foreign policy chief who oversees EU offices abroad, said the EU diplomatic missions in Washington, DC, and New York had moved premises since 2010 – the year the reported spying took place – and had subsequently changed over to “completely new security systems,” European Voice reports.
The spokesman added the spying allegations were “news to us.”
On Monday, US Ambassador to Germany Philip Murphy was called in for consultations at the Foreign Ministry after German Chancellor Angela Merkel said it would be “unacceptable Cold War-style behavior” if the reports proved true.
Steffen Seibert, a spokesman for Merkel, said the establishment of mutual trust was necessary before consensus could be reached on the EU-US Free Trade Agreement, potentially the ‘biggest bilateral trade deal in history.’
Following reports the French embassy in Washington and France's office at the UN in New York were being bugged, President Hollande also warned the alleged spying could sink the historic trade pact.
"There can be no negotiations or transactions in all areas until we have obtained these guarantees for France, but also for all of the European Union, for all partners of the United States," Hollande told reporters.
"We cannot accept this kind of behavior between partners and allies," he continued. "We ask that this stop immediately."
According to one of the documents obtained by the Guardian, dated September 2010, the United States reportedly spied on 38 diplomatic missions which it referred to as “targets.”
The surveillance program was intended to garner inside knowledge of policy disagreements on global issues and other rifts between both EU member states and other countries.
France, Italy and Greece were named among the EU countries pinpointed, while India, Japan, Mexico, South Korea, and Turkey were among other US allies mentioned in the document.
DARPA Computer Geek Talks About Hacking Cars
[Ed. Note: May you rest in peace Micheal Hastings, we know what they did to you.]
In the video below, Dr. Kathleen Fisher, a DARPA program manager, talks about the ability to hack into car computer systems. She explains how it is possible to remotely control modern cars through Bluetooth and smart phone technology.
DARPA, short for Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency, is the Department of Defense agency responsible for the development of new technologies for use by the military.
Her talk demonstrates that such an ability exists and the Pentagon has researched it.
Fisher makes the comments within the first three minutes of the following video.
James Corbett: ‘US pushes smear campaign against Snowden to distract from NSA leak’

Edward Snowden’s revelations had already led to some tension between the US and China. Beijing has demanded that Washington explain its surveillance program and cyber spying to the international community.
Bill Maher Democrat Lackey
Abby Martin calls out Bill Maher, host of HBO’s ‘Real Time’, for his evolution from being a controversial commentator to being an arrogant lackey for the democratic party, citing his rampant Islamophobia, support for drones, and defense of the NSA’s wiretapping program.
Why It’s Easier to Believe 150 000 000 Americans are Lazy than 400 Americans are Greedy

BECAUSE THEY CAN MAKE YOU BELIEVE IT.
I mean, you wouldn’t do anything under hypnosis that you wouldn’t ordinarily do, right Mr Manchurian Candidate?
Snce the ‘invention’ of Public Relations aka Propaganda, we have believed that the “150 million” are lazy and they have believed it themselves; “they” believed Communists ate babies for breakfast, they believe war is honorable, they believe that the money lenders never came back to the temple and now own it, “they” – that’s us – believe anything

Truth Is Coming & It Can’t Be Stopped: Edward Snowden Drops Another Bombshell
Monday, June 17, 2013 11:13
(Before It's News)
The lie, in the beginning, tastes sweet, but tastes bitter in the end.
The truth, in the beginning, tastes bitter, but tastes sweet in the end. Buddha
Whistleblower Edward Snowden dropped another bombshell on the New World Order ‘police state’ by sharing that, even if the CIA or NSA is to murder him, the truth will come out and it cannot be stopped. Snowden also shares with us that the more state criminals such as Dianne Feinstein, Peter King and #$%$ Cheney panic, the better off ALL of us are. The story below shared from Russia Today with a brand new video, “Message to Edward Snowden”, a heartfelt plea to Mr. Snowden from The Manning Report & ATLAHWorldwide asking him to make ALL of Barack Obama’s records made public.
“Journalists should ask a specific question: since these programs began operation shortly after September 11th, how many terrorist attacks were prevented SOLELY by information derived from this suspicionless surveillance that could not be gained via any other source? Then ask how many individual communications were ingested to achieve that, and ask yourself if it was worth it. Bathtub falls and police officers kill more Americans than terrorism, yet we’ve been asked to sacrifice our most sacred rights for fear of falling victim to it.”
Snowden further deployed his considerable wit to cast aspersion on members of the US political elite who had led leveled the traitor charge against him.
“It’s important to bear in mind I’m being called a traitor by men like former Vice President #$%$ Cheney. This is a man who gave us the warrantless wiretapping scheme as a kind of atrocity warm-up on the way to deceitfully engineering a conflict that has killed over 4,400 and maimed nearly 32,000 Americans, as well as leaving over 100,000 Iraqis dead. Being called a traitor by #$%$ Cheney is the highest honor you can give an American, and the more panicked talk we hear from people like him, [Democratic Senator Dianne] Feinstein, and [Republican Senator Peter]King, the better off we all are. If they had taught a class on how to be the kind of citizen #$%$ Cheney worries about, I would have finished high school.”
“All I can say right now is the US Government is not going to be able to cover this up by jailing or murdering me. Truth is coming, and it cannot be stopped.”
Despite the risks, his message to other potential whistleblowers was unequivocal: ”This country is worth dying for.”
Weekly News Wrap-Up NSA Whistleblower Edward Snowden, Americans Under Surveillance and More
by Greg Hunter, USAWatchdog:
This week in the Wrap-Up, we’re going to play “connect the dots” to see what kind of picture is developing in America. Let’s start with NSA whistle blower Edward Snowden. He has released information that shows a gigantic government surveillance program that is spying on millions of Americans.
It’s not only in the U.S., but this surveillance program is reaching into Asia and Europe according to reports. Many say he’s a hero, some say he’s a traitor. Snowden says he’s just an American, and he says, he’s “here to reveal criminality.” The White House says the intense spying program is fighting terrorists and perfectly legal. It’s also perfectly outrageous, and many think it’s perfectly unconstitutional.
As far as fighting terrorists, how is it we can arm al-Qaeda in places like Syria, and kill al-Qaeda with a drone strike in places like Yemen? Senator John McCain even had his picture taken with known al-Qaeda terrorists in Syria recently. What gives? All this spying must be more than to just thwart terrorists if you are spying on this many Americans. It’s about control.

Freeport-McMoRan Copper & Gold Inc. ( FCX ) said the estimated daily impact of temporarily suspending its operations following a fatal roof collapse at its Indonesia underground training facility last month is about three million pounds of copper and 3,000 ounces of gold.
A tunnel collapsed at Freeport-McMoRan's giant Grasberg mine in Papua province May 14, killing 28 workers undergoing safety training. The other 10 in the training session were rescued.
The training facility is located near its largest underground mine, the Big Gossan, in Papua province. The company shut down operations at all its mines in Papua for safety checks.
For the period between May 15 and Tuesday, the company said the estimated impact on PT Freeport Indonesia's production was about 80 million pounds of copper and 80,000 ounces of gold.
"This was an unprecedented event in our more than 40-year history of operations in Papua," Chairman James R. Moffett and Chief Executive Richard C. Adkerson said. "We are taking all actions required to prevent future incidents and to assure the safety of our workforce."
The Grasberg minerals district in Indonesia is one of the world's largest copper and gold deposits.
Freeport-McMoRan said PT Freeport Indonesia has conducted safety inspections throughout its operations and is working with the Indonesian Department of Energy and Mineral Resources and other authorities to resume operations in a phased approach.
Because of the temporary disruption, PT Freeport Indonesia notified its customers of a force majeure event under its concentrate sales agreements.

By Michael Kitchen LOS ANGELES (MarketWatch) -- Traders at a number of major global banks have been manipulating spot foreign-exchange rates for at least a decade, altering the values of trillions of dollars worth of investments, Bloomberg News reported Tuesday, citing five unnamed dealers. The scheme involves the WM/Reuters Closing Spot Rates, which are used to provide daily benchmarks to value portfolios. However, market participants have been front-running client orders to rig the rates by pushing through trades before and during a 60-second window when the rates are set. British regulators are considering a probe into allegations of this practice, the report said.
Biggest Gold Mine In The World Shutdown: Is This The Catalyst Gold Has Been Awaiting?
Jun 3 2013, 09:57 by: Hebba Investments | includes: CEF, FCX, GLD, PHYS 14:45Disclosure: I am long SGOL, PHYS, PSLV, SIVR. I wrote this article myself, and it expresses my own opinions. In an earlier article we laid out the case for the importance of annual gold mining production and how it heavily influences the supply picture of physical gold. Gold mining companies have been having a tough time controlling gold costs, and the true all-in costs of an average ounce of gold is now being produced at close the $1300 per ounce. Even with the price of gold averaging more than $1600 per ounce in 2012, total gold production was down for the miners we researched, which encompassed more than 25% of total annual gold production.
Higher premiums are still present from Dubai to Shanghai, U.S. Mint sales have been breaking records, and other mints and refiners are producing gold coins and bars round the clock to meet demand for physical metal. Counterintuitively, the market price of gold has been dropping even as we see the highest amount of physical demand in years.
Gold seems to have formed a bottom, and with such a large short position, we believe gold is just waiting for a catalyst to propel it higher and force a number of shorts to cover in the face of strong physical demand and a tight supply picture. These catalysts are tough to predict, but with such an overwhelmingly negative outlook by hedge funds and paper gold investors (hence the large short positions), news that may normally have little effect on the market may end up being the spark that sets the short-covering blaze. We may see it in the form of the shutdown of the largest gold mine in the world for an extended period.
