So you start a price war with walmart. Convert all the albertsons to Save-a-lots. Current U.S. demographics are middle/lower class just want cheap cheap cheap chinese junk and processed crap food. Upper middle/upper class want organic/fresh. So pick your side if you want to stay in business, you can't cater to both.
Last Q he ups full year guidance and 3 months later he completey drops all eps guidance.. thats criminal if you ask me I, and I encourage others,to write a letter to the SEC
You cant tell me that much changed in 3 monthe
according to yahoo aguero does own something like 5 million shares, so he has lost a bit in this slide. Makes his interests align with shareholders.
vod plunged with the european crisis last summer, or was that 2 years ago? anyway it got down to around 18, heckofa buy there. Tef looks good here as long as socialist south america doesn't steal its assets.
Not really it's more like 1.8 Million per store.. you have to divide enterprise value by store count. If you buy the company you buy the debt as well. If they pay off the debt though...
Value of company increases as they reduce debt. If they reduce debt by 50%, stock value doubles..
Its a good risk/reward here. I like what the new management is doing with store renovations and lower pricing.
Its probably naked shorting anyway.. if a retail investor tries to short is says no shares.. shares do not need to exist for hedge funds to short, they also do not have to pay the dividend this way, illegal practice, but common.. SEC is a lamb
Nibbled too early at 14.95, probably will nibble again at 13.95
Smart phone expansion should benefit telecom stocks..
Cheaper smart phones are on the way from Huawei, should be popular in latin america.. cheap smart phones still need data plans..
1 Billion dollars in loans?? I thought Worldcom's CEO Bernie Ebbers was bad, but I think his was only a 500 Million loan.. this is a new record in corporate crime!
Steal a loaf of bread.. go to jail.. steal a billion dollars.. go away scott free
What were they hoping to achieve with that temporary dividend anyway? Money would be better spend reducing debt or refurbishing drill ships.
All investors care about is the EPS, get that up and everybody is happy.
Keep in mind the u.s. Is working to devalue the dollar at the same time.. Europe is not as in love with printing as Germany is against it.. I think dollar parity with the euro is unlikely. As long as helicopter Ben is at the helm the u.s. Will win the devaluation war.
Tef goes no lower than 13 but may bottom here depending on earnings.
South American countries are always flirting with socialism. But fact is socialism does not work and free markets will return. It is in their best interest to allow free companies to do the work and then tax/fine the crap out of them to raise money to placate the free riders and pay for their lavish lifestyles.
Probably 13 is the lowest it could go, thats a 7.2 P/E based on current year earnings.. I didn't think it would fall past 15, thats an 8.7 p/e.
Verison has a p/e of 15, Vod, 10, so TEF is already discounted for the spanish economy & debt load..
Everyone knows mobile everything is the future, VOD, VZ, TEF, all will make more money per subscriber moving forward.. so it will be a good buy at some point, maybe now. Definitely at 13.
Latin America would include Mexico, the term refers to the countries of the Americas that speak the romance languages, such as Spanish, Portuguese, French, or Italian. English is a Germanic language.
The term Latin America was actually coined in France.
TEF may bottom here, just crashed through 15, taking a position with a small stop loss.
