Good observations in this thread. I am not as informed about all this as you guys but it seems to me there are a few things outside of BBEPs control that will be resolved rather quickly, meaning within 6 to12 months.

True, the Saudi's have enough cash reserves to stay comfortable with lower prices for about 2 years. Or so they say. Maybe this is why Boone Pickens said he sees prices higher within 18 months. But I think the Saudis don't have that much control or influence.

I think that the weakness in the Euro has an impact and I think that within six months we will see the dollar lose some of it's recent strength. The dollar / Euro is back to around it's peak of 18 months ago. The last two times it's been at this level it's dropped back down rather quickly.

Russia may actually influence prices more than the Saudis. I would not be surprised to see them negotiate an agreement among opec nations to lower production, but that wouldn't expect that to happen soon. Still, though, I think the Russians are hurting and will do something to turn oil prices around quickly.

I think the US production will fall more quickly than we think and that will naturally bring oil prices higher. As some of the posts on this board and elsewhere have mentioned there will be fewer new wells drilled and those that can't support lower prices will be put on hold.

I'm long on BBEP (and on VNR too). I don't know how much further their stock prices will fall or maybe they will consolidate at these levels (Maybe I am being optimistic) But I will enjoy reinvesting dividends until things do start to turn around, and when they do I will finish adding to those positions (I've only bought half of the shares I planned on buying).

I appreciate your informed posts. - thanks.
