it has been painful hellle for sure. of course most o/ng/ngl intermediates, small caps crushed. line of credit review due before end of Nov and I really doubt DVN will drill much in WY where we have capex partner for 2015 if pricing stays down. we have good hedges if I can say anything positive.. good legacy assets producing.. the 2013-14 expensive Eagle Ford drilling just crushed us and did not play out as hoped as we should have had farmed out and not done it ourselves, a better producer like PVA may have had better luck. pull on the wishbone from the Turkey tomorrow! PLT-UN cut dis from .05 to .025 another crushed "trust"... don't trust anything with the word "trust" in it! lol. I think I'd buy sub $1 though..
Beafracked and glowing from frack chemicals..

  • announced after the close today, but shares down all day.. hmmm. hard to buy any o/ng/ngl firms w lots of debt now.. might be an ok hold but not if pricing stays bad. no insider buys at all this year while most CA firms have had significant buys in the downturn.

    Sentiment: Hold

I think it gets back to 2.50 combo of tax selling and energy haters now, in the next two weeks, where I would add, otherwise holding what I have and cashing the checks.. lots of value in the oil patch long term. good assets are still trading and commanding a high valuation, Zargon just sold a small field for $25m 170boe/d and some NG capex will be cut drastically as recently by Denbury in US (DNR)

    Sentiment: Hold

  • 9.5 percent disc to NAV trading at 17.74 today.. despite leverage used to boost yield ..seems more conservative than cushing fund SRF more mlp focused 6.87% yield today.

  • that should free up BMO to continue to market the Forest Oil production pmt and see if we can use that to pay down debt, although pmt is good cash flow to angyf.. Sabine has a website w presentations that show the merger of assets and leases..their Eagle Ford acres are right next to ours in Gonzales Cty TX and our East Tx assets.. sabine may have a decent amount of credit available post merger and FST just sold a fringe NG field for $185m so who knows, they may have interest in our TX assets. in an unrelated note, a pipeline from EF to MX has begun moving NG to Mexico which despite it's resources needs and is starved for NG.. to me that makes our TX NG more valuable as well.. more importantly, it signals continued cracks in the export ban that keeps getting nibbled away bit by bit..i am sure the ban is on the GOP agenda and may be one thing they can get the Dem's and President to agree on in some form.... so a series of minor positives.. I don't think Iran talks will ever amount to anything.. there is no incentive for the avg person in Iran to benefit from the ban being lifted as the cronies at the top are profiting from being gate keepers on the flow of goods.. back to ANGYF. hopefully we get some clarity on our Line of Credit in the next few weeks here. I would rather they get the $$ from the production credit and just pay it off, down. I have seen valuations from 60-100m on it, get the bankers off our backs.. if the LOC is significantly pared (more than $20m illustrated as no problem by mgmt. in 3rd q release) it may present a buying opp that I thot would materialize after the writedowns in 3rd q and did not.. and would add if so, otherwise I am just holding and collecting .02/m not sure the DVN WY drilling will proceed if o/ng pricing stay low the differentials to WTI mean this oil is only commanding $58-62 now and DVN may not want to proceed.. a lot going on, interesting stuff to me.. bests to fellow longs Bea

at least they are sticking to their knitting, cant believe apts has moved into shopping centers, pure play apt reits should do well for years, people can't get mortgages to buy 1st homes, students saddled w debt for years, incomes stagnant.. these pullbacks are usually good entry points for long term buyers.

thanx I tried that he could not find it. I usually do a googl search every week for my names and search for the previous 7days/week.. it is amazing what you find by doing that. yoohoo and stockhouse boards are too slow these days too much spam, ads, videos, getting frustrated. I like to share info I find that is useful w investors and have benefited from it myself many times, but am getting tired of these boards may take a nice break. I used to enjoy Lizahuang energy related share/mlp posts, she always had good insights, she pulled back a lot and can't say I blame her. posters were harassing her and I think she just got sick of it. oh well, glta/Bea

BNP was pretty positive on Bloomberg this week as well, seeing 90+ on brent in 2015. if you can stomach the capex here from Pioneer our partner which will probably not let up for many years to come and accept small dist, in the long run as a long term investment in low cost Permian play, it should pay off like CRT has done for years..PBT recently.. . Pioneer will use proceeds of it's share offering to lower costs of drilling in Permian wells.. we'll see. I'd be happy w 4c mo w production growing, midstream build out ongoing, potential for exports from TX

Franklin Resources Inc 11,769,822 4/30, up from 9.7m 4/3/14 before reorg..they bot 2m in April..they can be wrong too as you know.. sorry yoohoo wont let us post links. the production payment being marketed may have a value of 60-80m according to TD review on 10/17/14 which could pay down line of credit significantly and give us breathing room into 2015 w our good (imo ) assets.. it has been tough.. shame on Aston Hill for marketing this mess, bankers for selling units and debs well into late 2013..shame on us, suckers born everyday respecting industry credentials.. it hasn't helped their rep, AHF.CA.. they are selling for .84CA today... oh well. I bot in as I had success with in 2008-10, O&G fund, VIP fund, w revised strategies and conservative realistic dist mgmt., the Eagle Ford drilling here did the company in, they were not big enough to do it, should have done jv's on that acreage w less exposure, their plan w Devon in WY/Powder River in 2015, DVN is a good partner.. we'll see.. holding..may add a little soon 4k or so.. not sure.. looking at PEYTF instead..another sick Trust w lot of debt.. but NG/NGL seems to hav better mgmt., again a lot of debt. I think it is closer to 11.8m units, not 13m sorry, per Morningstar just googl Morningstar argent energy trust ownership , click major owners, institution.. there is fund/institutional holdings.. you should be able to view public info also blackrock, counsel investments own about 225k sh, probably blackrock in an index type fund.. you have to pay to get more detail,, not sure how current but I am pretty sure FB still owns their 11.8m, they haven't updated their detailed holdings in a little while.. in this painful tax selling time! painful for sure, holding for yield/nav. I see a few insiders still buying small amts via payroll bi monthly purchases, Bovington and Wong, the CFO, Finance VP's.. oh well. tough year for sure.

    CRA taking BTE down

    by winmore_98 Nov 18, 2014 6:13 PM

most analysts favorable on the company for now.. bte which is fighting the potentially disallowed cap loss tax offsets from prev acquisitions is saying max exposure is about 57mCA on this, so it is not material. I am sure this is a tax selling favorite of larger investors and hedgies w big gains in other stocks this year.

I wonder if they are targeting bte for diversifying into US w Aurora probably not. it sure is tempting here. CA analysts are still favorable on the stock,,,RBC was rating overweight on their Oil Stress Test piece in Oct.. one thing they did was take on a lot of debt to do the buy..vs CPG which issues shares mostly.. also seems to be some insider buying as w most CA oils ..

Any concerns about the allocation to HY in PCI?

    by mgerner214 Nov 2, 2014 1:26 PM

they seem to have less energy debt than most hy funds.. I think analysts are most concerned about energy related hy now, looks like 2-4% of the portf is in energy, not bad. seems like a good time to nibble on a little here under 22 well under NAV.. the markets (oil/high yield etc) are adjusting to the lack of liquidity formerly driven by big bank traders who are out for the most part. seems to me like hedge funds are picking up the slack to some degree. a lot of hy was dumped on the market when bg left pimco but that also should have settled down. one of my favorite blogs is marketanthropolgy which you can access for free via a search..his long term charting and technical indicate interest rates will be low for some time, well into the 2020's. glta, nibbling here.. I think when they started diversifying it hurt the stock, people are buying IRT, MAA, AIV for pure apt. complex plays instead. IRT had a good quarter.

share price has been creeping up again, watch them do an equity offering to finance the medical office building purchase..they have stated they will pay for this recent deal w equity. they could probably issue a low cost term preferred that would be well received instead.. oh well, that is what they do..that would be a good long term holder entry point imo. w interest rate uncertainty and this hanging over the stock, I am sure that is why it is stuck. I don't like diversified reits, I think it blurs the lines when they are in too many areas although at least it is still medical.. I see some reits get into totally unrelated areas (APTS)
