Taser probably cut prices to the point where the competition can't afford to match, or they'll lose money.
That is the advantage of being a successful company and having a positive cash flow.
I think over the next 52 weeks, we will see some MAJOR contracts and announcements..
I think the stock hits new all-time highs in one year..
Yawhooo will not let me post it.
Trust me, all was good.
BUY BUY BUY....
You called the (short term) top.
If you can buy it back @ $12 (30% lower), good for you.
I am in this for the long term, and I don't try to time the market.
I think it will be a lot higher in 3-5 years, and I don't want to sell at the wrong time and miss it..
Good luck to you...
There are as of 2006, 683,396 full time state, city, university and college, metropolitan and non-metropolitan county, and other law enforcement officers in the United States. There are approx. 120,000 full time law enforcement personnel working for the federal government adding up to a total number of 800,000 law enforcement personnel in the U.S.
That was 7 years ago, and that was only in the US.
And no matter how bad the economy is, they have to spend money every year on the needs of each officer.
As more and more agencies use axon or vievu or somebody else, the demand will be there for the agencies that don't use it, to start using it.
The Prof will be in the number of lawsuits, most of which are fraudulent and settle out of court.
This is the next big thing, and there is more to come..
BYE, and BUY...
Competition is good for the end user, and it keeps the players honest and always making their products better. Taser has a winner here, and whether or not vievu can stop Taser's momentum, time will tell.
Tase has a clean balance sheet, and is an approved vendor with thousands of law enforcement agencies throughout the world.
Every axon sale is NEW money for Taser, above and beyond the stun gun business.
The big R&D money has already been spent on the product, so a majority of the top line sales go right down to the bottom line, earnings per share.
More and more reviews and analyst opinions are favorable, and that has gone to the stock price.
I have a 5 year plus time horizon.
Whatever the potential for the camera business and storage is, Taser will get their share of the pie.
And whatever taser is working on for the future, based on their investment in technology professionals, you can bet will be the "next big thing"..
Axon is different than vievu. The difference is evidence, that is saving municipalities lot of money on lawsuits.
This field is big enough for more than one player.
The same was true with stun guns and similar.
Over time, when which is better, cheaper, easier, etc., there will be a winner, and that winner will be Taser.
The others are just keeping Taser spending on R&D to tweak good to best.
And to be honest, the whole world of law enforcement and what officers wear, carry, etc., is changing, and Taser is just beginning to scratch the surface.
Taser has respect of many (or most) law enforcement agencies, and they consult with these agencies for future needs, problems...
This board is full of mental bashers, that will tell you the gvernnment shut down is because of Taser.
Due your own due diligence, and if you invest in Taser, don't bother with this board's messages, or the day to day change in the stock price.
The charts look great, the year over year sales growth is great, and their newest product is the first inning of the first game of a long season..
I think that alone should tell you the Fairfax deal ain't gonna happen.
I was long BBRY, took a loss a few weeks ago, and never looked back.
Heins is a lying, sack of sheeet, and I will never hold on to shares when the management are brain-dead, lying, you know what..
The only reason BBRY is $7.69, is people are still buying, hoping to get $9.
$9 is a great return from here (17% profit), especially if the deal was going to close soon, which makes so obvious the deal ain't happening.
I don't understand this.
If the deal closes at $30, isn't that the price the shorts cover at?
Don't your shares get taken away at the close of the deal, and $30 / share goes into your account.
If it was a simple as "not taking" $30, as the shorts need shares to cover, we'd all ask for $40, $50, etc.
Help an old timer understand this.
If you're a trader, you're stupid.
If you're an investor (and I think 20,000 shares makes you an investor), don't sweat it.
The best days are ahead of us.
Technology and the future of law enforcement are changing every day, and Taser is ahead of the competition in many services and products, and they are developing an award winning software team.
Let's see the quarterly earnings in 26 days.
Then you'll see things differently.
And perhaps they found a cheaper supplier (maybe based on volume commitments), and they figured a price cut would speed up sales..
Who knows, prices could be higher next year..
Taser wants market share in this fast growing space, and they will get it.
And IMO, they are focusing their future, and turning themselves into a software / service provider.
And with their client relationships and consulting for needs with these clients, I bet the NEXT big thing is not too far off.
Don't forget the obvious, the recent major buybacks and the recent management purchase @ $11 plus.
Insiders know when to buy...
if you ask me, the answer is no.
But if you ask a PUTZ....
The charts are normally right, in the short term, so if we test and bounce off 13.27, so be it.
This month has been a great run.
I am a long term investor and I have no plans to sell my shares.
If you follow the charts, we are in a long term bull run.
New highs are ahead..
As they attempt to get the stock a little bit lower, before it makes the move to new highs come 10/30 and the earnings report.
Did anybody really think Taser would not lower the price to capture market share.
As big orders come in, they will have the volume to squeeze their suppliers to manufacture the cameras cheaper.
It is all basic business, 101.
There are no analysts, if you want my opinion.
Just a few idiots that have no idea what axon / evidence is all about.
In 10 years, you will look back and say "this was a no brainer"...
By the year 2020, every law enforcement agent will audio / video each and every confrontation.
Thank you to the cell phone business, for letting everybody else film every encounter.
Without axon / evidence, lawsuits will result, especially if only part of the confrontation was filmed, by a 3rd party, who didn't get the whole story.
E Z MUNNY..
