True mainman. And I really hope that is the case. Because, personally, I think it's only a matter of time before some of the air is let out of the market. It's SO inflated right now. Loving the action on silver again today. Hoping it can get over $22/oz some time next week.

Do you just keep posting until you are eventually right one day? Why are you telling people to sell? According to your post history, you don't even own shares. Now tomorrow, could possibly see a pullback after today's rise. But if silver is up again tomorrow for some reason, I wouldn't be surprised to see EXK close above $5.65/sh.

It's obviously a great day for the miners today. But I am more excited about the movement in silver. Up almost $1/oz. When you think about how much silver EXK is pulling out of the ground these days, that equates to very exciting news for earnings. Providing silver can hold this price and continue it's climb back up and we can offload at higher silver prices. Let's hope today is not a charade.

    GLTAL!

I share you views mainman. I believe when the money leaves the market, it will go into metals. The only scary thought is, which side will the mining stocks take? Since the stock is still in fact, a stock. I believe they will have mixed days, but should follow the direction of metals more heavily than the market.

Following EXK as long as I have, I have noticed that there is very little resistance and support compared to other miners. Don't ask me why, because I have no idea. But we seem to swing a little wider than the other miners on any given up or down day. I think today was an example of that. Then again, we had higher than normal volume. So it could be a case of EXK being oversold and people starting to realize it. To be honest, I couldn't care less about the price of EXK right now. My concern is the price of silver. It needs to continue climbing!! If silver climbs to $25/oz, EXK will more than likely double in share price.

I'm surprised nobody has brought this up yet. Although this board seems to have died quite a bit as silver has gone down in price.

The London Silver Fix is going away in August. Does anybody have an opinion on what this will mean for silver? Do you think it will make a difference one way or another? A lot of conspiracy theorists believe that the London Silver Fix played a big part in the manipulation of the price. So what happens after it goes away?

    Sentiment: Strong Buy

  • Man, they REALLY don't want silver/gold going higher do they? I can't count how many times the chart has looked like this in the past month. Silver/gold start off strong, then drop around lunch time to flat or red. I'm just going to stop watching! It's too painful.

I'm with you mainman. I was just happy to see a profit as opposed to a loss for the quarter as most miners are reporting.

Close call on your .06/share :)

I don't know how they had such a high share price to begin with. At least no comparing them to EXK. Before today's loss, SSRI was double the share price of EXK. I know they have about 20M less shares outstanding....but the gap seems too wide. EXK should be priced MUCH higher. Hopefully we don't get similar bad news on our earnings coming up!

News, if you believe the current/low silver prices will push some of the weaker companies/miners out of business.....one would have to assume it would only be good for the other miners. Would you agree? The way I see it, the less companies there are digging up metals, the less there is in supply. I have no doubt that EXK will be one of the survivors of these difficult times.

    Sentiment: Strong Buy

  • I read an interesting article last year some time. Basically, the writer predicted that X number of junior miners would be put out of business in 2014 due to a temporary, but drawn out, dip in silver/gold prices. With that being said, I honestly believe that investors are placing their bets as we speak. And those bets are who they think the stronger prospects are to persevere in this current dip in the metals. I think smart money knows that it's inevitable for silver/gold to go up in the future. Now is the time to get into the miners. They have been beat down to a bloody pulp. But the strong companies will thrive in the end. Do your own DD, find the strong miners, and invest where you see fit.

    GLTA!
