I had to remove them from my posts in order to have it post? Scarlett, Incyte's Jakafi, Dr, Tefferi
quote from Irish earlier today
"For the past 6 months since stopping infusions, John has been fine! I remind you he was high risk MF with an average DPSS prognosis of 1.5 years. John is on no treatment or medication since July 22, 2014 (last infusion). After 15 months of Imetelstat treatment, and six months since stopping, his blood counts are stable. While no longer "technically" a CR (hemoglobin 9.1), he has no symptoms, stable blood counts, and no evidence of fibrosis increasing. Others in the study keep infusing at Mayo patiently waiting for the next phase of treatment. Some in John's cohort have been infusing now for 22 months."
Irish said John's hemoglobin count was 9.1. This means he's no longer in CR but he seems to be holding up well. Should she be concerned?
Hope4ly he doesn't end up on a Gerny like me.
....how come Yahoo doesn't allow one to post D r. T's name nor the CEO's name nor IMET's competitor's drug name. I beginning to think we are living on Sarah Palin's front porch, the one she could see Russia from.
Woof I agree with your posts earlier today about the CEO needing to preserve shareholder equity as a means of leveraging other potential pipeline development. As to retail trader trap I disagree as few brokerage accounts allow shorting this stock. Most shorting is done by hedge funds and or tut es and as you point out stock id under accumulation as SP isn't allowed to break out yet the base line has slowly been moving up. $5 should create a significant barrier for this blatant short crying game,
I don't know about Kanak's timeline as I was hoping for raising the stock value by 2-3 times over the next 5 months given BTA and wider indications for AML, RARS/MDS & IMET 615 combo antisense/mRNA with Imet development plans. Heck we could have a 10 beaver banger just sitting here.
Scarlet held a presentation last fall on porch racing and managing high flying pharmas. What more do you want?
He did the J&J deal but the market, judged by SP wasn't all that impressed and as Kanak said in his first SA Jan. 20th article; "However, I believe this deal is very favorable to Janssen, and only tolerably favorable to Geron. First, if you look at the detailed valuation I calculated here, you can see that, by itself, Geron would potentially have made billions of dollars more than it ever could by playing second fiddle to Big Pharma."
In Kanak's 2ND very comprehensive & detailed SA Jan 23 article he said Scarlet" saw the only way to save the company was to arrive at a compromise and cut a deal. That deal basically sells off Imetelstat in exchange for a decent amount of money, which will raise the stock's value by 2-3 times over the next 5 years under an optimistic scenario. It will also give the company some liquidity."
the last 3 buyouts I was in were a far cry from what shareholders should have received in compensation. I'm sitting on 100's of thousands of CONTRA CUSIP shares who's value is to be determined at a later date? If ever. The one company TSRX was bought out twice now.
It's Wall Street , shareholders are always last in line to get leftover scraps. The Wall Street mantra...give us your money and you will never see it again.
when you notice that Scarlet is getting paid $2.3 mil and $1.3mil of that are in stock options, it makes you realize that the band aid us shareholders ended up with was a really a preamble to the gauze J&J plans to wrap GERN up in once they cut a deal with the FDA. Buyout is probably in the works as are shares disappearing and naked shorts appearing.
It helps kill the time...there isn't much else to do whilst we wait for news. GERN has a high Relative Timing value so it bounces back quickly. If general market conditions deteriorate we get taken down with them.

Bollinger Band is narrowing means a strong move in either direction. Last candle was a bearish engulfing on Wed. Albeit low volume 1.2 mil new short positions have piled in since Thursday. 1.1 mil of those were on Friday(Interactive brokers). The 50 SMA main line support was breached the other day @ $3.32, the 50EMA is holding at $3.15. This all adds up to a probable take down in SP next week. I see no big coiled spring movement that Joker was alluding to. Hopefully no one has great expectations for today's conference.
30%, Bullish..... Upside 95%, Excellent for extreme rally
70%, Bearish..... Downside 90%, Excellent for extreme pullback
Taz, I hope you're passing all these great finds onto Scarlet.
Wouldn't want him to get bored in that empty building out in Menlo Park.
