is the numerous negative comments on its Facebook page. Yes, yes, I know. When you're a large company like HH Gregg, you're bound to have a few problems but what is HH Gregg doing to resolve these problems and give its customers a more direct and immediate means of resolving service or product issues??? Even Circuit City for all of its later ineptness had a 'customer'cool line' set up to field customer concerns. What is most damning are the many people who state that they called the store only be bounced around from phone to phone or held on hold for long times. Most reported being handled rudely. I, myself, experienced horrible treatment after returning to the store to complete a purchase thwarted by a nasty sales rep a day earlier (as the store's manger had suggested on the phone). While I was checking out, the previous sales rep returned and demanded to know why I wasn't checking out with him. He kept badgering me until I finally told him to "get the hell out of my face!". At that point the manager came over and asked me to leave the store for using 'foul language'.
Negative chatter has greater potential for spreading with Facebook and other internet web sites. A decade ago, a jilted consumer might tell twenty friends about their bad experience. Today, a jilted consumer can tell twenty thousand or more via Facebook or YouTube. If HH Gregg treats consumers like its own Facebook page would suggest, it won't be around much longer. ☻☻☻
Google or Bing Sears on the internet and you would have known that Sears as a retailer is badly broken. This not your grandparents' Sears. ☻☻☻
Ron Johnson is the gift that keeps on giving! ☻☻☻
Circuit City corporate suite became a revolving door in the final years, too. Rats always jump ships before they sink. ☻☻☻
Circuit City made changes slowly and belatedly in response to the emergence of Best Buy and others. The sudden firing of experienced help previously paid on commission caused a lot of negative PR and left the stores without knowledgeable sales reps. Some of the errors may been due to the desperate rush to turn things around. ☻☻☻
Next week may be like an ice cream extravaganza for Rat and other RSHCQ shorts. RSHCQ is not long for the financial world! ☻☻☻
