red_sox, yes you have been harping about the gap. I have been watching, but what gap are you looking to fill?
April 20ish or the July gap. Seems to me they are both over and out.
haha...yes, I am #$%$ at my computer right now and at myself for getting greedy. Should have put in my limit order a bit higher. But trades did go thru at and below my bid. Missed the steal today. Oh well. A quick plunge like this seems to happen every couple of years.
Re: Fighting the shorts:
A. Strengthen communications and promote transparency. Tell people what is going on. If you want to play with the big folks, act like it;
B. Buy some stock with the buy-back plan. Don't wait till pps is 13.5;
C. Spend some money on a dividend....one time, small , whatever. clfd has had 20-30m in the bank for so many years. (Shorts have to pay the dividend declared for the shares they control). put some pressure on;
D. Remember the famous old short quote: "he who buys what isn't his'n, must buy it back or go to pris'n."
It has traded between 9-ish to 11. Stagger your investments. Bought some more yesterday at 10.10. I am happy. If it goes down cuz of interest rates rise, I'll buy more and average out.
If I read the "revenue trends" correctly, it seems goog was not a huge contributor.
Perhaps this is because Austin is going sooo slow, not the KC we saw last year. CLFD has built a diverse client base. That is great news. I look for a much bigger stream from goog projects as they progress in the next 12-16 months. (and from the competitors). Presume the Mexican facility is ready to go and meet demand. Keep increasing the customer base and add goog money as a bonus.
Now we got something to talk about! BTW, no shares repurchased in the quarter. Repurchase stands at 72,000 shares at a cost of $849,000.
We may be seeing some short capitulation happening right now. Or maybe they are doubling down. Some good numbers later this month will put a nail in coffin. Otherwise we wait till next q.
it will fly if/when they put up some good numbers. Don't know about this q. But am confident about year end. Shorts seem in control of the daily pps right now. Maybe clfd is buying some shares, sure would like to know.
This story is dated June 25, 2015:
SAN ANTONIO – The Alamo City is a little closer to even faster Internet speed.
A spokesperson with City Councilman Ron Nirenberg’s office says the Public Utilities Commission has approved Google Fiber’s request to expand Google Fiber Austin’s footprint into San Antonio. The decision was made earlier in June. The move doesn’t mean San Antonio is becoming a “Google Fiber City”, but lays the groundwork for the possibility. Fox News San Antonio reported in an earlier story that representatives from the company saw the city as a natural extension to Austin.
My last purchases were between 9.20 and 9.60. In 2013, if i recall. So keep your powder dry. This action is not unusual for DNP. This is what it always does. Owned it since '92. No worries here. I Plan on getting some more when I feel it has stabilized a bit. (don't know where that might be). I will just ease into the the stock.... a little bit here and there. I know i will never get it at its lowest. But I hate losing the divies while i wait.
Of course you are right about the direction of this discourse. But lawsuits??? Where have you been??? google: Law offices of David Yerushalmi Bell and Stanton.
