    141 Institutions Increased Positions w/: 5,755,544 shares.
62 Institutions Initiated New Positions : 2,523,328 shares.
Clearly institutional money flow is into LCI at a rapid clip.

Glad I didn't sell 65 or 70 strike price calls which have excellent premiums.

FYI: Shorts are the ultimate buyers of fundamentally superior stocks.

    Sentiment: Strong Buy

Does anyone know if CALM has excess capacity to supply other producers in order to, in turn, serve their customers? In the "old days" when I was a producer, we shared during tough times like this so all survived. Still charged good prices to other farmers but without gouging. One thing that might be done is to shift to supply more shell eggs instead of processed.

"In Iowa, the estimated economic loss from egg production is estimated at just over $600 million based on figures from Iowa State University economists using current estimates of dead chickens."

""They are not going to come back all at once. It's going to take one to two years for these layer facilities to be back into full production, it's a gradual process," said Maro Ibarburu, a business analyst at the Egg Industry Center at Iowa State University.

Egg production for March was nearly 1 percent higher than a year ago. The bird flu virus first surfaced in Iowa egg barns in early April. The government's new forecast is for table egg production to fall to 7.2 billion dozen, a decline of 0.7 percent from last year."

    VISA PREDICTION FOR 2015

    by jsmith196588 May 7, 2015 3:02 PM
believerinbalancesheettrends believerinbalancesheettrends May 10, 2015 12:04 PM Flag

I predict Visa will move to Europe by 01/01/2016 for tax reasons.
If that happens, these shares will be automatically sold with a taxable gain and new shares will be issued with the European taxing jurisdiction. The only impact on shareholders will be a capital gains tax (if a profit has been made) and a rising stock price due to lower corporate taxes in Europe.

    1. price:sales ratio under 5.0
    2. Positive earnings.
    3. Declining debt if debt exists.
    4. Positive retained earnings.
    5. PEG ratio less than 1.0 or PEG ratio up to 2.0 for massive large cap paying over 3% div.
    6. Cash greater than debt (especially important when interest rates could rise).
    -- highly experience investor
    7. 3 years consecutive increased earnings.
    8. Current ratio over 1.0 (can be as low as 0.80 if company pays over 4% dividend).
    9. p/e ratio under 15 if company is an established (old company).
    10. Quarterly income may be seasonal, in which case quarterly earnings should exceed previous year for same quarter.
    11. Positive earnings guidance by company.
    12. Last 4 consecutive quarters always beat estimates (the more the better).

I use 22 benchmarks in my weighted valuation spreadsheet but the above is really enough to measure a company.

For the shy longs who simply want to make a very high gain, they could keep their stock and sell calls out to September. One way to provide more certainty (but lose on net gain if the stock goes to $40 or so.... which is quite possible very soon).

  • believerinbalancesheettrends by believerinbalancesheettrends Apr 28, 2015 7:43 AM Flag

    increase of 313% is good.
But look at the balance sheet numbers which bode well for the upcoming quarter which should be even better.

    From briefing:

Gild should buy cash rich CELG for its pipeline and blockbusters which include these:
-- Revlimid patent expires in 2024 EU, 2027 in USA.

-- Abraxane patent expires in 2022 in EU, 2026 in USA

-- Pomalyst patent expires in 2023 in EU, 2024 in USA

-- Otezla patent expires in 2028 in EU, 2024 in USA (expected to become Celgene's 4th blockbuster drug as it ramps up production.

Expects over $20 billion sales and over $12 / share earnings by 2020.
    FY 2016 p/e ratio under 18.
Clinical trials under recruitment: see clinicaltrials dot gov -- huge number, too many trials to post

That is one reason to buy VDSI.
It has the best data and system protection technology solutions
(which, ironically, is why most investors never heard of it via the news media).

I like GILD as well as ILMN although CELG is the best one based on blockbusters, patent expiration dates and pipeline.
ILMN has too high price/sales, too high PEG ratio.
ILMN drops about 10 to 14 percent for a period following earnings and then recovers after a couple of months (except last quarter where it never did recover to prior price).
    I own them all.
